    My family enjoyed our time at Port A Getaway. The house was comfy and clean. A coupla issues… the tub in 2nd floor bathroom was slow to drain (water pooled around the ankles); the sink in the 2nd floor sink drained slowly: the dishwasher was loose from mount. Otherwise, great stay.

    House was exactly what we needed for our group of 11! The large open family room dining area/kitchen is PERFECT for this size of group. Elevator came in extra handy in transporting bags to bedrooms unpo arrival and departure AND when grilling food. Loved the rooftop deck in the early mornings for sunrise and sunsets. Close to downtown nightlife and close to the beach. Bunkroom is a little small for 5 people to stay in ... I would suggest switching the 1st floor master suite to a multi bed room (bunks), and make the king room on 2nd gloor the master. But other than that...no complaints. We had a wonderful time!!! Thank you for opening your home to us!

    This was a great house to stay in, there were some bug issues, no deal breakers as we are by the water and is somewhat expected. The location is wonderful and the area was fun. It's not exactly a 4 minute walk, but very close drive. Everything was super convenient and I would come here again and recommend to everyone. I would update the book in the home with instructions on check out and wifi passwords.

    This was our second year at this Port A gem, and it keeps getting better. We travel with another family, so 11 of us (4 adults, 5 teens, 2 younger kids) need plenty of elbow room—this house delivers. Bedrooms are spacious, living areas are open, and no one ever felt cramped.The kitchen is stocked far beyond the typical vacation rental—sharp knives, ample cookware, even storage containers for leftovers—so feeding a crowd was easy. Beach toys, chairs, and towels were all provided, which lightened our packing list.Communication with the property manager was quick and friendly from booking through checkout, and the quiet neighborhood is just minutes from the beach and restaurants.Bottom line: spotless, thoughtfully equipped, and truly family-friendly. We’ve already penciled it in for next year!

It was clean, bright, roomy and comfortable for a big group. Description was very accurate. We went to the beach (5 minute golf cart ride), Castaways for dinner, and visited the Texas State Aquarium in Corpus on a rainy day (expensive).

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house was clean and beautifully decorated, and the beds and linens were very nice. The elevator was a must for this 3-story house, and we really appreciated it! The management company left a lovely gift bag with a couple of fillable k-cups and other cute things. Our favorite thing about this property was being able to see the water from the living area, and if you go up top, you can glimpse the beach, too! Our only complaint was the small step at the bottom of the stairs. It is cement and is painted the same color as the landing. Everyone in our party tripped over it at some point and one person fell and had to have stitches. I've reported it and the property management said they will speak to the owner. Mind your step and you'll be fine. If you're drinking alcohol, you probably won't be. LOL

Reviewer Comments: We had such a great experience with new wave last year when they worked hard finding us just the right place, we were a little worried that once they had our business, the customer service wouldn’t be as good. That is definitely not the case. Everyone there (especially) Kathy has been amazing. The place is just what we’d hoped for, and every time we have a question or needed something, they’ve been right on it. No doubt in our mind that they’re the best in town.
