Stayed Jan 1, 2026We came to Portland a bit on a wintery whim as there was no good snow at home. We certainly found their cold rainy season but loved having the covered porch for muddy boots, fresh from walking through the wonderful Woodstock area. It was literally 2 blocks to a large park that was full of neighborhood dogs and only 4 blocks to so many great food options. We especially loved the local market, food truck court, wine shop, Otto's Sausages, Delta Cafe, Nudi noodles. We also walked around Reed College and the nearby Rhododeron Gardens. Our teens liked having the 2 living spaces on separate sides of the cottage but we made good use of the common space with the large tables for puzzles. Easy side street parking and close enough to downtown to be a good base for a long weekend like ours, even in the winter. Highly recommend!

Stayed Aug 7, 2025The location was great. We walked to groceries, the playground, a delightful farmer’s market and food trucks galore. It is an unconventional layout but it worked really well for our extended family vacation because each nuclear family had some privacy. The host could not have been nicer.I would say that it is an old property with plenty of quirks. For us, that was a good thing. It felt like a very Portland house for a Portland visit. But if your taste runs towards sanitized chain hotels or modern architecture, this is not the place for you. Personally, I found it comfy and inviting. I would stay there again.

Stayed Jun 13, 2025We enjoyed our stay. We were in town visiting family. This property is close to a lot of items; groceries, coffee, bars, restaraunts. Quiet neighborhood and easy to find. Iniside had plenty of room and really spread out.

Stayed May 8, 2025Super location. Walking distance to food, shopping, bars. Cute house. Good layout for our adult kids in one side of the house who stayed up later than us.
