Emerald House | 4BR Charleston Charm Near King St!

Really cool old restored house. Perfect for us: a boys room, girls room, and two parents rooms. Clean. Good condition.Painted parking spaces would be helpful. Some nice shops in the area. Easy to check in and out. Overall, a good place.

Our host was amazing—very responsive and helpful with our questions. This place is AMAZING! Clean, well appointed, and close to everything. We came into town for a wedding, and there was ample space and accommodation for each family member (including a toddler). Thanks for providing such a beautiful place for us to feel at home!

We loved the charm of the house! It was nice having a bedroom on the first floor for my Mom. The beds were all very comfortable. The kitchen was nice although we did not cook very much during our stay. Having 2 king sized beds in 2 of the 4 bedrooms would make this property great for larger groups. The home was clean, comfortable and inviting. I would definitely stay here again.

We wanted to stay close to the historic district for the Fourth of July and this was a fantastic find. It’s not close enough to walk to the market and riverfront park, but it’s a quick 6 minute drive. The house was darling, with everything we would need, and absolutely the best communication to answer questions. Completely professional. The neighborhood is nice as well. We’ve already talked about coming back again. Highly recommend!

The property was accurately listed on VRBO. I had a family member at MUSC who had surgery and wanted to be able to walk there. The location was convenient but gets pretty empty at night so I wouldn’t suggest a girl walking alone. We had our dogs at the house too which was nice. You can hear everything around the property from the garbage men, to people outside, to construction going on. Just be prepared for that. Overall the place was perfect for what we needed and the free bottle of wine from the neighborhood bodega was nice. My husband enjoyed being able to walk all over during the day to local sites.

We had 6 of us stay at the property and all enjoyed it! The pictures of the property are spot on and it's a great place to just relax. The weather was cold so we weren't able to enjoy the porches but other than that all went well. Would recommend!

My second time renting this property, this time with my 80 year old parents. The king on the main level was perfect for them. The kitchen was perfect for preparing our tailgate, it was well stocked. The parking is a little snug for my driving skills (which aren’t great) if the lot is full, but I managed fine. We also had 3 cars and there is a convenient gravel pay lot essentially across the street so it worked out perfectly. Highly recommend this house - I likely will rent it again. Coffee on the front porch on a beautiful Nov morning was perfect.

Our stay was cut short due to complications from Helene, but the 1 night we were able to stay at this property was perfect. We arrived late afternoon Sunday and our Citadel cadets were able to relax for about an hour before returning to campus. The moms stayed the night and enjoyed Charleston Monday. The house is fabulously renovated and a great location. It is the perfect mix of updates and Charleston history. I’d love to return to this house, absolutely loved it.
