Elegant Family/Pet Friendly Cottage in Coveted Clark Park

Assisted with my nieces move to the area and looked for a rental that could accommodate a small (12 ft) moving van. During my search I came across this lovely, comfortable cottage. During her collage years at UofI, we have stayed at various VRBO’s in the area. This has become our favorite! The neighborhood was pleasant and welcoming for a walk or run. Beds are comfortable. Kitchen had everything we needed. Long (for a home in town) driveway was a definite plus for us. We utilized the screened in front porch for morning coffee. Comfortable living room was a blessing after a day of moving furniture. We had one glitch. After working 38 years in maintenance, I don’t tend to worry much about occasional “glitches”, things happen. It’s more about how owners respond that I’m interested in. A smoke detector started its “low battery” beep in the middle of the night. Annoying sure, but not the end of the world. Had the same thing happen in our home. In the morning I searched for a battery in the kitchen drawers, but didn’t find one. I send a note advising of the situation. We went about our day and by mid morning I had a note back that the owner had come by and replaced the battery. Very responsive. We had a few other questions that were promptly answered. Will I stay here again? Without question. Now that my niece has moved to the area to teach, this cottage will be our first choice when visiting. Comfortable, charming cottage with very responsive owners in a quiet neighborhood.

Stayed at this home while visiting my parents in Champaign. We only used it as a place to spend each night, but it is well maintained, clean, and comfortable.

Our stay in this cottage was so comfortable!! It was very clean and we especially loved the decor. The screened in porch was a nice bonus. We can’t wait to come back!

Super comfortable and convenient! Beautiful serene neighborhood, which we took advantage of with a couple of nice walks. :-) We really enjoyed our stay!

This house was the perfect home base while visiting my niece at UIUC for Illinois marathon weekend. It is on a pretty tree-lines street about 2 miles from campus. The house was very comfortable and clean. The host was responsive and kept great communication throughout the whole process. She even provided us with a guide to local activities and restaurants that was full of great suggestions! We were very pleased with our stay and we are grateful to Erica for making it an easy weekend so we could focus on family time!
