Eco-Friendly Escape in Cortez - Pets Welcome!

I really loved staying there! It’s a beautiful little house, in a quiet residential neighborhood very close to downtown Cortez, and very close to Mesa Verde. The house is eco friendly, with a lot of energy and water saving features (heat pump/evaporative cooler, low flow toilet with 2 flushing options). They also have a mini washer and dryer. The neighbors are friendly. It was lovely, and I would love to be able to stay there again. Thank you!

This home was truly a home away from home. We were able to accommodate all visitors comfortably. It was a family reunion of sorts and the kids absolutely loved the nice big back yard. Parking was sufficient and all needs were met. Grocery stores and restaurants close by. And casino is less than 30 min.

We have stayed here a few times with our dogs and enjoy the set up and yard.

We enjoyed our time in Cortez but the house needed more maintenance. As I said, everything that needed to be clean was. But, outside was not maintained at all. They advertise four places to sit outside but there was little to no maintenance to the outside areas. Cob webs ruled outside. The screened in porch had no door and torn screening so what is the point in a screened in porch? They also advertise more than one parking place and RV parking. No way. We needed none of it, but there were two trucks and a car parked there. People coming twice a day to change out cars. I have a lot more to say, but won't. I emailed the owner directly to address the many concerns but had no return response.

We were in town for a wedding, and this was a perfect, pet friendly location. The host was excellent and checked in on our during our stay to make sure all was okay. Highly recommend.

Quiet neighborhood. Clean house with all you need:)

Our 1st priority was a fenced yard for our beagles. The photos in the listing showed a well groomed yard. But, when we arrived the yard was so overgrown we couldn't even keep our dogs in sight. The fence needed repairs. So, the yard was unuseable to us. The evap cooler went out & the host did bust his tail trying to get a replacement for us. Having 4 days of 87 inside Dan, the host, gave us a partial refund. That was kind of him. Our other complaint was the unexplained charges after booking. We booked with Vrbo but Evolve took over. With Vrbo we were given a quote for our booking & after Evolve took over we were charged an additional 300 dollars. Evolve blamed Vrbo. Nothing was resolved so we basically got taken advantage of. Looks like Evolve is in partnership with Vrbo with some listings. We will never book anything again with any booking where Evolve is connected.

The house was located close enough to town for easy travel between us and family living there. Large enough to accommodate all of us during the day and evening meals. Bedroom and bathrooms were very clean and comfortable for 4 adults. The living area large and comfortable enough for up to 12 to gather, play games and enjoy meals. Very clean and well stocked. Easy check-in and check-out.

We traveled to Cortez to visit our daughter/sister who's family of six lives there. Their home is not large enough for more of a crowd. The VRBO was just right to have them join us during the day and enjoy family time in the evening. Other than 18 holes of golf and 1 fishing trip we all had a great time being with each other. Plenty of room for us all to play board, card and electronic games and enjoy the meals. Bedroom and bathrooms were comfortable and private. the living area was large enough for us all with comfortable furnishings. A very clean and welcoming home. Everything we needed from well stocked kitchen and bathrooms to comfortable furnishings throughout. Very private and out of the way (just by minutes) from hustle and bustle of downtown. Very enjoyable, Thank you.

We enjoyed staying at this house. It was a close drive to Mesa Verde, Canyons of the Ancients and other hikes. We loved having the fenced in backyard for the dog as well. The owners have everything labeled well in the house and take care to be eco-friendly.

Property was clean and well furnished. Back porch was more cluttered than picture. Nice bedding but other than master bedrooms were small. Kitchen well stocked. Pellet fireplace not working which was disappointing as we were there when it was cold. Dog loved the yard.

The home is just that...a home. Much more comfortable than a hotel. Clean and organized, with lots of local literature showing where to go and what to do. Pet friendly, and we enjoyed visits from a couple of felines on the porch (Salem, our feline, spent time at the door with twitching tail). Just an all around good place to stay. Check-in and -out instructions were clear and easy to follow. Caretaker's number was provided, along with the hosts, for questions and information. We will definitely remember this home for the next time we visit.

Well, we were very impressed with the location because we were able to go to Telluride, visit Moab, Utah, visit Mancos, also we were able to explore the scenery and also go to Durango Colorado. It was a short ride.The best thing about the property was that we enjoyed the location. It was very clean and the TVs were easy to work and figure out everything.We would definitely stay there again just because it was a close location to friends as well while visiting. Also, it was easy to get to the grocery store which was about 3 to 5 minutes up the road along with the stores there that were feed stores, but they accommodated for any kind of cold weather equipment for clothing like it got really cold when we were there and everything was easily accessible

The property was great. It was perfect for our family and we would definitely stay here again!

As a family, we spend almost every Thanksgiving together in Cortez. The majority of our family lives in Cortez, but my husband and I and our son and daughter-n-law travel from other places, and hence why we rent a home to stay in during that time. This year was our first time renting this location and we found it to be very comfortable, close in proximity to Cortez amenities, and good for our dogs. Thank you.

Good place. Very quiet and peaceful. Perfect for quality time with family and we all had a good time.

The home was decorated nicely & comfortable for 2 couples, with easy access to downtown. Photos on website are not current, but overall very adequate space. You may even learn something about recycling if you pay attention.

Very comfortable home, definitely recommend, solid wifi, quiet neighborhood, prompt response from property manager when the tv was confusing me.

We enjoyed our stay very much. I would definitely recommend staying here. We had everything we needed & were comfortable.
