Downtown Spring Cottage

Location of the place was perfect, walking distance to downtown. House was fully stocked with everything we needed. Very clean and lots of treasures to evoke curiosity.

The home has a great location and is a beautifully constructed and decorated craftsman home. With a 100 year old home comes a few problems: very loud wood floors and box elder bugs. The bugs were all over including the kitchen and bedding. We hoped for at least a full roll of paper towels. Instead, it was maybe 1/3 on the holder and 1/4 at best under the sink. We were told to go buy our own. This was a 3-night stay for 5 people over a major holiday so having the basic amenity of paper towels was expected. The dishwasher flap for the detergent never opened requiring dishes to be thoroughly pre-washed or hand-washed. While the host offered to have maintenance come out, the responses for maintenance and paper towels felt condescending, to all of us. The furniture was worn with very little support - when you sat in it, you sunk. Lastly, while the house sleeps up to 8, there are only 4 chairs at the dining room table. We found one in the basement but it seems like there should be a minimum of 6 available for the table. The home is accurately presented in the photos but unfortunately the problems we encountered distracted from the craftsman charm.

We were a family of 6 on Christmas Vacation. My wife and I got everyday and made a full breakfast for everyone and we had everything we needed in the kitchen to do so. We played games around the dining room table every night and also watched a movie in the basement. Everything was extremely clean and they even had a humidifier going when we got there. I contacted the host and we were able to check in about 30 minutes early when we got there. It has wonderful steam heat radiators so be aware they do make some noise sometimes but we were all still able to sleep just fine. The beds were comfortable and clean.

This my third time at this house. We love all the thoughtful decorations. Plus the bed and the rooms ar comfortable. The hosts are always very responsive.

First time visiting Glenwood Springs! We loved this charming house. It was a great fit for us and we loved the location! Within walking distance to the main part of town. Such a great time!

Great unique property easily walkable to town and the pool! We loved it.

We had our family reunion in Glenwood Springs this year, and the rental was perfect for our needs! The house was clean. The rooms were comfortable. The kitchen was great. Walking to the center square was just a few minutes away. We also enjoyed the large porch in the morning and evenings. We hadn't even left Glenwood Springs when it was unanimously agreed that we wanted to rent the house again next year. Because the house is old (but absolutely charming) I would suggest you bring a couple of extension cords. Although there was a portable air conditioner in the front room which kept the area comfortably cool, at night the bedrooms were a bit uncomfortable and the windows have no screens. We did have one fan in one of the rooms, but even so, it was still a little warm. My family and I highly recommend this rental.

the house was amazing. this was our first attempt of taking a small group of intellectually disabled adults on a min vacation . it was nice to have a home base where we all could be together to play games and socialize. it was the perfect spot we were i. easing distance to everything

Absolutely beautiful home in such a convenient location right downtown!

We had a great experience in this home. I highly recommend this place for a fun group weekend- plenty of space, easy walk to stores, food, hikes, and more. The games were a great touch in the home and we had a wonderful time making memories!

Absolutely incredible property! Three separate families had kiddos that were skiing in a competition in Aspen. This location was absolutely perfect as it was an hour away from Aspen. The home has a very rich historical feel decorated with some eclectic antiques. Very warm and cozy. Perfect amount of room for the adults and kiddos to spread out. We will absolutely be staying here again in the future. The owners were very good at keeping the lines of communication open. I rate this property and our experience 10 out of 10!

Very warm and welcoming home.

This is a great central location yet privatcy abounds. The house is well cared for and stocked with everything for cooking! We really enjoyed our stay.

Beautiful home with lovely antiques, lots of interesting books, room to spread out in, plus a family sized front porch with swing.

Great location on a quiet street with friendly neighbors. Close to downtown and lots of activities. House is beautifully furnished in period pieces.

We loved the house and working with Amber. However, we had 5 elderly women on this trip. Two beds were down steep stairs and there was no bathroom down there. Very dangerous for older women to go upstairs in the night. But otherwise, delightful!!
