Summary:
“Dorado” is a beautiful 4 bedroom cottage/house offered by “the Kabins by the falls” this is the perfect place to enjoy a relaxing time away from the hustle and bustle. With all needed amenities, a beach on beautiful Cameron Lake just 200m away from your door.
We are just off the ATV trails and amidst great restaurants, hiking trails, shopping, lakes, parks, and beaches.

The Space:
Dorado is the largest space we offer at “The Kabins by the Falls”. It's a fully renovated 4 bedroom + 2 bathroom home that overlooks Cameron Lake.
We have fire pits, patios, kayaks, stand-up paddle boards, lawn games and more.
Directly next to us is Fenelon Falls Marina where you can rent boats and PWC. We encourage you to book rentals early (min 1 month prior to stay). Directly across the street there is “That Place on Cameron” restaurant and patio.

Only a few hundred meters away is the rail trail for ATV's and snowmobiling.

Guest Access:
“Dorado” is on site of the Kabins by the falls. The grounds are a relaxing cottage resort setting. This house is off on it's own and more secluded from the rest of the property.

The Neighborhood:
Oriole Rd is a tight knit community of seasonal cottagers with an excellent patio restaurant across the street from our property and a marina directly next to the Kabins. This makes for the perfect setting for convenience to enjoy water sport and great food.

Fenelon Falls is a beautiful little town. It is home to lock 34 on the Trent-Severn Waterway between Sturgeon Lake and Cameron Lake.

There are many great restaurants, pubs, shops, a grocery store, Friday farmer’s market and a beautiful waterfront park. All this is within walking distance of The Kabins by the falls.

Overall property was good. Water supply was disappointing, not only being non-drinkable but very strong odor. Lower level bedrooms were nice, but no bathrooms on the lower level. Very convenient to town, and great starting point to exploring the Kawartha.

10/10! Perfect location, spotless and well-kept, with very comfortable beds. The property had everything we needed for a great stay—would definitely return and highly recommend.

Had a great time! Good communication from hosts and the house was well equipped for all our needs. We wanted for nothing, highly recommend! Only nitpick is the water smell, you get used to it though, it's like a hot spring! and maybe add a couple more lamps instead of just overhead lights.

Positives: - very clean and very laid out - well stocked; everything needed for your stay - management was very accessible and accommodating - easy to integrate into your stay - new appliances - 2 big screen tvs - AC superb; great for hot days - main seating area was well - nice amenities, such as: canoes, paddle boards, campfire - close to town - nice community of cottagers dog friendly Concerns: - mentions about not drinkable water, no mention of strong odour - manage expectations of ‘the public beach’ - be aware of the waterfront view from the cottage - be aware there is no dock accessibility; it’s private property - literally speaking– your right next to the marina - bed height in one of the rooms was not anticipated - close to main highway into town; noise is manageable Window over the kichen sink needs blinds. Lamps would add a nice touch.

We had a wonderful time at Dorado Cottage. The place is spotless, very well appointed, and had excellent air conditioning. The pictures of the place DO NOT deceive. It was very hot and we loved being able to come into the air conditioned cottage when we couldn't bear the heat. There were four of us senior women, and we appreciated the owners quick response to any concerns. Note to other seniors, there are stairs but they are manageable. The 2 ladies who had knee problems stayed in the upstairs bedrooms. We each had our own rooms which was great! And 2 bathrooms was perfect for 4 adults. All appliances worked, which is not always the case. Plenty of pots, pans, dishes, etc. We didn't mind that we were not right on the water because the small beach across the road was very close. We didn't use the kayaks or other water toys. Would return to this property in the future. Thank you Evan! and Dorado Cottage.

We had a wedding in Burnt River and needed a place to stay. This worked out great! Didn’t have as much time to enjoy it as we would have liked. Next time!
