Stayed Mar 6, 2026We booked a large group of friends for a stay in March. The off season price point was just what we were looking for. The Lighthouse is huge! Everyone got a good night sleep, early birds and night owls included. Winter and spring were battling it out. We saw all the ice melt, turkey and deer tracks in the sand, and beautiful sun/moon rises during our stay. If you’re looking for a big group or multi family destination, book it! Thanks for everything Emily, Andy

Stayed Feb 6, 2026We were a group of eight friends who gather once a year for a reunion weekend. This house had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The kitchen is well stocked and there are enough beds for a large group. The game room and projection screen TV offered a lot of entertainment options. We were here in the winter so we did not have the chance to take advantage of the beautiful outdoor space or the lakefront, but it was close to skiing and hiking trails.

Stayed Sep 18, 2025We stayed here for a long weekend whole family get together. Although the house is starting to show some wear, the size is perfect, with enough beds/bedrooms for everyone. The appliances in the kitchen have been updated. Two ovens, two sinks, and two dishwashers made meal preparation a breeze. The location on the water is gorgeous. We loved being able to look out over the lake all day long, especially beautiful in the morning. We didn't get a chance to take the kayaks out because the water was a little to rough, but it's nice to have the option. The hosts were friendly and responsive.

Stayed Sep 4, 2025If you’re looking for a nice nature-oriented get away this is a great place. The town is very close so you’re not too isolated and there are many activities you can partake in at the house. The beach is beautiful and so is the home.

Stayed Aug 9, 2025Great property - we had quite the crew for a week in August. House is right on the lake, and close to both Algoma and Door County. Beautiful Lake Michigan frontage, with a private sand/pebble beach. House easily accommodated our 12 adults, 8 children, and family dog. Lots of sleeping space and includes accessories for small children. With this crowd having two ovens/dishwashers was a bonus. Large outdoor grill, great fire pit, and kayaks. We brought flotation devices but the house had plenty for adults and children. Shed had tons of bikes and toys for kids and adults.Main grocery store in Algoma is close, well stocked, and the staff very friendly. Folks in Algoma are welcoming. Plenty of things to do within short driving distances, which made for a full week. It isn't always easy to find a large enough space for this many people, and this house definitely fit the bill. Made for a wonderful family vacation with adult children and small grandchildren. Exceptionally pleased with the property and our stay. Host is very responsive - highly recommend!

Stayed Jul 31, 2025Check-in was smooth and easy. The kitchen offers plenty of space and is well-equipped, featuring two ovens and two dishwashers—perfect for preparing meals for a large group. Having two washers and dryers was incredibly convenient. The game room, complete with a pool table, shuffleboard, and an arcade game, provided great entertainment for everyone. The kids enjoyed the kayaks and basketball court, while the guys appreciated the horseshoes. The beds were comfortable, ensuring a good night’s rest.A couple of points to note: there are lots of stairs and steps, which might be a challenge for some. Bathroom facilities were limited for the size of our group—there is only one bathroom on the top floor, which sleeps 16 people. We also encountered a challenging neighbor who complained about noise at 6 pm, even though we had no music on and were simply playing horseshoes and sitting around the fire.If the weather had been warmer, the front room without shades would have gotten quite hot. Additionally, easier beach access with some steps would have been a nice touch.Despite these minor challenges, being on the lake in such beautiful weather made for a good experience!

Stayed Jun 24, 2025The scenery was beautiful. Grandkids really enjoyed the beach. Nice and relaxing for our children and us to connect and enjoy. Rainy one day and the activities in the basement were wonderful. Big enough for all 21 of us. Just a joy to have all our children and grandchildren all together yet could be by yourself

Stayed Jun 19, 2025Beautiful home with lots of space. Shed was filled with bikes, wagons, basketballs, golf clubs, helmets, stroller, kayaks, life jackets and so much more. Basement game room was great and lots for kids to do. We had 10 adults and 9 grandkids aging from 10 to 1 year old. Kids had fun playing in the sand. Cabinets were filled with toys and supplies to paint rocks. Great place.

Stayed Jun 2, 2025Overall very pleased. Some good advice would be adding a table on top deck outside kitchen slider. Also more hooks or places to put luggage on and hang towels. Outside deck has screws not all screwed in and can rip open bottom of feet if not fixed. Did have enough towels and sheets and all appliances with utensils which was great.

Stayed Feb 14, 2025The Lighthouse is beautiful. Loved the sail theme throughout the house. Beautiful decors and LOTS of room for a big party. We stayed with 9 couples and still had lots of rooms. The kitchen is spacious and we were able to cook our weekend meals indoor the whole time, since there was a snow storm during our stay. Next to the lake is beautiful, it didn't feel like we were in WI. I bet it would be twice as beautiful during the summer months. I would totally book again.

The kitchen was furnished for a large group and we cooked all of our meals there! Lots of beds for sleeping! Sitting in the living room watching the water for morning coffee didn’t disappoint! The adults and young adults all enjoyed the game room! They were able to play basketball too the temperature was 30 degrees! We were able to see a huge ship on Thursday evening another highlight of the trip! We will definitely be booking again!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969The house was large enough that everyone could find a quiet spot if they chose too. Plenty of bikes, ice door fishing gear and the kitchen was fully stocked. There were lots of pots and pans to prepare meals with. Emily our host quickly solved the issue with the washing machine within 48 hours. The location on the lake was ideal and a only 15 to 20 min. drive to Sturgeon Bay. All windows had blinds for those late sleepers. Thank you for a wonderful time.

Stayed Aug 4, 2024We had a wonderful family reunion at the lighthouse. The house was clean and well stocked with cooking supplies , spices, board games and outside sports equipment. The children enjoyed the game room and the collecting rocks on the beach. It was a place where you could have a large group but still find a spot for a quiet moment. We absolutely loved it. Thank you.

Stayed Jul 7, 2024Huge lot, panoramic views of Lake Michigan, virtually private beach and lots of sleeping space for large or extended family. However, wi-fi service is almost non-existent, kitchen water pressure is extremely low and the house needs updates.
