Dog Friendly Waterfront Bungalow Just Steps to the Sand and Waves

This was our third stay at this condo over the past 10 years, which says a lot about how much we've loved the location. The view is absolutely beautiful, the parking is convenient, and the location itself is hard to beat.Unfortunately, this visit was very disappointing. The photos in the listing appear to be at least 10 years old and no longer accurately represent the current condition of the condo. There is noticeable wear and tear throughout the unit, and it feels like it is in need of updating and maintenance.The deck has plenty of seating—actually more furniture than comfortably fits the space—which made it feel crowded rather than relaxing. The barbecue grill was filthy and unusable, which was especially disappointing given how much time we hoped to spend enjoying the outdoor area and ocean view.Sleeping arrangements were another challenge. The mattresses were either extremely hard or extremely soft, with only the master bedroom having what we considered a comfortable bed. Several members of our family chose to sleep on the couches instead.While I will provide the host with a detailed list of maintenance items privately, I feel it's important for future guests to know that the condo's condition did not match our expectations for the price we paid. The outstanding location is really the only reason we would have considered returning. Unfortunately, given the current condition of the property, we will be looking elsewhere for future stays.

Property was absolutely perfect! Only complaint is cleanliness. The flatware, plates, and glasses all had to be washed before we could use them. I even had to wash the filthy drawer holder for the flatware. When grabbing plates, bowls they were either covered in puddles of water or crumbs. You need to do a complete checklist of items needed to be checked before your next guest. Also check in was never send code for the lock. Had to call customer care and wait several minutes before getting the code. Other than that! Property had the best view! Comfy clean beds! Perfect location! This house is build solid and keeps out the drafts and moisture of most beach homes. I would stay here again!!

Amazing location right on the beach and the town seems to be more lively than last time we stayed a few years ago. Kitchen is well stocked and loved having the view.

We had a wonderful stay. My boys loved the stuffed animals and bunk beds. The location was perfect! We had fantastic weather to explore the beach.

The house is exactly as advertised. Gorgeous views, cozy atmosphere. Well worth the money.

The location was hands down amazing. Right in the middle of town, the ocean IS the back yard and walking distance from shops and restaurants. The house was spacious & beautiful! Fully stocked kitchen, comfortable beds, circular bathtubs, games, puzzles and ping pong in the garage. The owner/managment were engaged but not overbearing and we will DEFINITELY book here again!!

Location is amazing. Walkable to most of what Rockaway Beach offers. Getting to the beach without a lot of stairs is really convenient.

This property was beautiful, and has everything you need for a relaxing time at the beach.

We stayed in this rental ten years ago and loved it so much we always hoped to return. The views and beach access can’t be beat. This rental has stood the test of time, and while there are a lot of carpet stains from pets over the years, the trade off is that I got to have my little old dog with me for what might have been our last trip together. But seriously, the carpet could use some attention. Also, Lysol wipes or just some basic cleaning products would be helpful. I like to be extra careful when I stay in rentals, especially during cold/flu season. The more guests can keep it clean, the less work for the cleaning crew. Love this place though and would definitely stay again.

Loved everything. We had a good time. The view was spectacular even if was raining.

It was a great stay, but our comforter and linens were dirty. :( The comforter smelled dirty and our linens had stains. Thank goodness for DG we went to purchase laundry detergent. The master bedroom definitely needs a new bed frame. The one it has is really squeaky and the mattress is lumpy, but overall the house has a beautiful view to the ocean. I still can’t figure out why there’s ALOT of stuffed animals in all rooms and living room. We will definitely visit again and hopefully the master bedroom has a more comfortable mattress.

I had a wonderful time here. The view of the beach from the house is perfect. It was very clean and beautifully decorated. Very peaceful. We had a wonderful time.

We had a relaxing week, weather was gorgeous, seafood everywhere and at least once a day. We were disappointed the train operated on the weekends only and we were not there. We dis have to walk our dogs every few hours because there is no fenced dogfie rwlief yard.
