The unit is well stocked, the location wonderful and all the staff we encountered were more than friendly and helpful. The only issues we had to deal with were that the HVAC on the main upstairs floor did not work. We reported the problem and service was attempted but they were unable to access the equipment. Luckily the weather cooperated and this did not become a major issue. The other item is the porch swing in the back is a safety hazard as has been mentioned previously. When using the swing it pitches forward and the user is 'tossed' to the deck. Despite these issues we look forward to our next stay at this lovely home !

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We love our annual visit to CS with our family! We love the location and size of Lakeview Estate but this year we were disappointed in its condition & the customer service support from CS. Doors did not open or lock properly creating a safety and security concern, a towel bar fell off the wall, and the porch swing was unusable (a detailed list of items needing attention was turned in upon checkout). When we turned in a maintenance report to CS on day one, they came, took a look, cut the swing down completely and we never saw them again- not the customer service we’ve come to expect. I suspect that many of these issues were known to CS prior to our arrival because the bunk room external door had painters tape on the latch when we arrived. On our first full day, we never found the beach chair sets we ordered so my grandchildren went to the pool instead of the beach. I called later in the day to inquire and was told they were set up at the south location - an informative text would have prevented a lot of frustration on my part and disappointment in my grandchildren. We are willing to pay what we feel is a premium price for this location and experience but unfortunately we do not feel that we received a value for what we paid this year. It just didn’t feel like the experience we look forward to every year- feels like all of the energy is headed to “South”.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Hi! We enjoyed our stay but feel like it was really inappropriate to not have a dress code with swimsuits. I have little children and it’s supposed to be a family friendly location and there were multiple thong swimsuits. These girls were standing right in front of my 5 year old son at the Shore cafe and it was super inappropriate. There were 5 thong bathing suits standing there for the whole restaurant to see. I have been at other vacation spots and those are prohibited. I understand if it’s an adult location/pool but not with little children. Otherwise the stay was great but I want to feel comfortable bringing my family and will reconsider this for next year.

Reviewer Comments: When we arrived there was a dead cockroach on the third floor. After I dealt with that, the inside of the house was beautiful and matched the photos. The outside of the house left something to be desired with minimal flowers and immature plants and brown grass surrounding the lake (surrounding houses had nice front landscaping and another lake had crisp green grass all around it). The house was quiet, comfy, roomy, updated, and had an excellent back porch. The pools in CS north are okay, but the main pool in CS south is the one to go to. That was our best day. One of the pools in CS north has a faulty bathroom door and my claustrophobic wife got stuck in it and we couldn't hear her yelling for help from the pool area. Other people passing by let her out and told us that people were getting trapped in there all day long. I wonder how long that's gone on for because there aren't many staff individuals that you see at CS other than at restaurants/bars. Everything is very walkable at CS and though the North-to-South neighborhoods are separated by a few miles you can drive between them. We were interested in getting a cart but it rained the majority of Friday and when we called to order one for our last day Saturday they told us we'd have to pay for a minimum of two days (approaching $500 with hidden fees). The kind person on the phone asked their manager about the situation and the manager insisted on it. That was a little off putting. CS also uses a very strict tone about arriving before 4pm (specifying different fee charges)...yet they texted us at 130pm to say the house was ready. Would we have paid more if we came then? For $1k/night, CS could take a more customer-friendly approach to ensuring you have a positive, rewarding experience. Our experience at CS wasn't bad overall because the house was beautiful, the community was pretty, and the CS south pool was nice, but there were enough not-so-great experiences that we wouldn't recommend it to someone else.

The furnishings are beautiful with a designers-touch! Management was accommodating when we needed them. The only issue we encountered was with the oven which did not seem to bake well...maybe because it is a gas oven?? I would definitely book this home again!!
