Dennis Port summer escape with big yard, movie theater

We had a sister's winter getaway trip to Kate's wonderful home on the Cape. The place was immaculate, beautifully decorated, the kitchen was perfect and the home theater was so fun. Kate is a great host and easy to communicate with. I would highly recommend a stay here.

Kate was a wonderful host and very responsive to my questions and messages. The house was nicely appointed and had everything we needed for our three day stay.

My friends and I had a great stay at the Sweet Retreat! The house was a cute, cozy, and spacious beach house. Enjoyed some grilling in the backyard. Location was perfect. Less than a 10 minute bike to the beach and a quick drive to the Sandbar. Thank you so much Kate!

I have been thinking about writing this review for the entire week of our stay. I shopped through a ton of properties before picking this one and I am so happy with my choice. I have often stayed in rentals where the property in oerson does not live up to the pictures. This property is even better than the pictures. It has the perfect balance of clean, well decorated rental property and a true lived in beach house.My favorite thing about this property is that you truly just have to bring clothes and food. They have EVERYTHING you need for a beach trip. Towels, chairs, coolers, toys, umbrellas, boogie boards, etc. They also had a fully stocked kitchen with a large variety of pots and pans, containers for leftovers, lots of mugs, plates, cutlery, glasses, coffee maker, tea kettle, utensils etc. After staying at some places that have no cooking utensils or Tupperware containers, this was a relief for a family that wants to be able to cook. The theater was also WAY cuter than I expected. The little ticket window and extra decorations like velvet ropes and candy vending machines were absolutely delightful for my children. When I looked closely at the location on the map I was a bit concerned about how close it was to a dollar store and ocean state job lot. However thus felt like a perfectly private location. Our favorite part of each evening was walking around the suburb counting wild bunnies in peoples yard, and comingback for a camp fire.

Best house!! Great vibes and good for family. The movie theater and decor is so great. The owner was so responsive, friendly, and accommodating.

Kate’s place was wonderful! She has thought of everything a guest could need to make you feel right at home. Sweet retreat is the quintessential cape cod cottage with everything to make a stay enjoyable. We spent Memorial Day weekend and the location is perfect mid cape to easily access all locations on the cape. The home is spotless, beds are comfortable, and communication with Kate was seamless. We would love to stay again next time we visit the Caoe.

Great property! Wonderful location!

This is a 10/10 for sure. The house is so well kept and has a lot of unique elements to it - not to mention a nice theater in the basement. One of the best VRBOs I have ever stayed in. You can even walk to grab dinner or ice cream too. If you have a chance to stay here grab this house the minute it is open.

Stay was exactly what we were looking for in a quiet girls weekend away. Property Manager was super responsive with all questions and even late night needs. Highly recommended.

It was the perfect home for our recent Sibs Weekend trip. Everything was provided. There was so much space, and each room was so quaint. The owner was above and beyond accommodating. We definitely want to return.

We had a lovely stay. Did not use the lower level (stairs are quite steep for women of a certain age) but the house is charming. Owner was very responsive and easy to work with. The pull-out sofa was comfortable too.

Every closet and draw was full. No place to put non refrigerator food away, so kitchen always looked messy. Very little closet space. It was suffocatingly full. It didn’t feel like a beach house. It’s a beautiful house just not for my family.

Plenty of communication on check in time and offered local suggestions. The home was clean and well equipped. Plenty of beach chairs,spacious backyard with a fire pit we used nightly & a gas grill. Our time was quick but we enjoyed the house.
