*Deerfield* Perfectly located Lake front house on Norris Lake with covered dock

We had a great time and would definitely go back. The house was spacious and had lots to offer for families. The dock and swimming were superb!

House was kind of dated original and needed some attention but everything except one exterior door worked fine. The boat dock is shared with the neighbor but they are super nice. The walk to the dock is a very steep concrete ramp thats a workout!Overall we had a really good time and would stay again.

This beautiful Norris Lake home was the perfect place for our family vacation. The listing details were completely accurate, highlighting the quiet cove for floating and the ideal location near popular marinas. Typical for June, we had a few periods of rain during our stay; however, there was plenty to keep our family busy in this home as we waited out the rain with the entertainment options in the basement. When the sun was out, we enjoyed soaking up the rays on the updated dock. I cannot say enough wonderful things about this home. Erin is an excellent property manager, with the most timely responses I have ever experienced from a VRBO. The owners genuinely care about you having a great experience while staying in their home. Regarding the comments about the steep incline from the dock to the house, yes - it's a climb. We have stayed at several homes in the Deerfield area and they are all very similar. My husband and I, as well as our adult children ages 18-25 and their companions, are all healthy, in shape adults and navigated the walk up and down the ramp daily with no issue. We considered it a good workout! If you are traveling with elderly family members, or those with health conditions, you could have some difficulties. We made many wonderful memories during our vacation and hope to come back to this house again in the future!

This home has everything to offer!

We loved our stay at this home. The location was perfect, in a quiet cove but very close to Sugar Hollow, Deerfield, Springs Dock and Shanghai. The house was clean and had tons of space for 2 families to enjoy. The kitchen was fully stocked for cooking. The game room basement was perfect for teenagers to have their own space and stay busy when the weather didn’t cooperate. We utilized the covered dock and jet ski dock, and it was easy to get in and out. The deck overlooking the lake was peaceful for morning coffee. We liked the fact that the listing did not require a full week’s stay, so we were able to book a half week. The ramp to the dock is very very steep, so I would not recommend for anyone with elderly guests, or people with physical issues. Otherwise this house was a great getaway for us! We love coming to Norris Lake!

The property was clean, everything worked. The top deck was being repaired so we couldn’t use it but we didn’t need it. The neighbors were very welcoming. Everyone had a great time!

This is our second year staying. Home owners are great people and very easy to deal with. House is in a great location on the lake.

This was our 4th trip to Lake Norris and first one with just our family. We were very pleased with the cleanliness of the home and the amenities. All the beds were comfortable and the recent updating of furniture and decorations makes the home feel fresh and inviting. As other reviews have said the walk to the dock is a bit steep but every home we’ve stayed at Norris Lake has been the same or worse. It just how the vast majority of homes are at Norris Lake. Finally the proximity to Shanghai Marina and Deerfield Marina is great for anyone renting a boat or Waverunner. This is a great home with a fun basement which will get used after a long day on the water or during a rainstorm like we experienced. 5 Star Home.

This house is located at the end of a very quiet cove. Perfect for swimming off dock, as there was zero boating traffic/wake. Location is great, close to several marinas and restaurants. The house was very clean and nicer than expected. Lots of room and space for families and kids to spread out. Basement living room area has great tv/gaming area for kids to unwind. Bedrooms were cozy and well kept. Host was easy to contact, friendly and helpful. We were extremely happy with the home and enjoyed our time there. Our ONLY complaint is the pathway to and from the dock. It is extremely steep. Our entire group struggled walking up the hill (and we are all healthy, in good shape adults). It is not something we wanted to do more than once a day. Which was a bummer, because I feel like we didn’t enjoy the dock as much as we had hoped. Although, it does look like every house on the lake has either steep hills or a thousand stairs to get to and from. So that climb seems unavoidable either way.
