Beautiful well maintained cottage tucked away in the woods. Very private! Has everything you need.. If you want to escape this is the place. You can get to nearby shopping, if needed, within 15-30 minutes. Seven Points Marina is a 15 minute drive where you can rent pontoon boats and enjoy the day on the water.

The cabin is perfect and the area is just a great place to come to get away. We have stayed at “cozy cabin” 13 times over the past 11 years.

WE don't have pets. Glad to know others are requested to put covers over the furniture. Allergies! The shower was extremely slippery! We had to put the floor mat with the rubber backing in the shower each time we used it. My husband nearly fell when he got in the first time.It would be nice to have a steamer to use in the cookware & also more lids to use the corning ware.Charming,we loved the house! We were very please with the seclusion & location. The owners thought of most everything for a comfortable stay.We would like to know how late in the season it is available & how early in the spring. Please let us know by email. Thank you!

Great first stay at Raystown Lake. We were looking for a cozy cabin it the woods, and this location met this requirement perfectly. Host/Julie was very easy to work with - great communication. Check in/check out process was a breeze. The cabin was a perfect size for our family. It was very clean/immaculate inside and out. The driveway was dirt/gravel and a bit steep/narrow, but Julie told us that in advance. The cabin was well equipped - we just needed to bring food and toiletries. Boat launch was a mile drive -- very nice boat launch. Very nice lake. Unfortunately, it rained during most of our stay. But we still enjoyed our trip. The description and pictures of the property are accurate. Would stay again.

The cottage is so charming and beautiful inside and out. It is also very clean and organized. Our family included me and my husband, our two toddlers, and the dog and it was perfect for us. The loft was great for the kids (we brought a pack n play for our youngest) and since it's enclosed, we were happy to be able to use a gate at the top of the stairs (which we also brought). The cottage has everything you need, from fire starter, s'mores, towels, plenty of paper towels and toilet paper.. you name it. This was such a blessing for a family with little ones. The location is also great. It is quiet and very easy to get to the lake and restaurants. We would definitely stay here again in the future and recommend to anyone planning a trip to the Raystown Lake area.

Beautiful, secluded and close to the boat launch. Everything was provided. I have never seen a home with so many things provided for your stay. The beds were very comfortable and we had a goo time by the firepit! The outside was beautifully landscaped with many mature plantings. Very pleased with our stay and would stay again.

This cottage is perfect for our family. Secluded mountain life, yet close enough to the lake for beach days. This is our 6th year staying here. Julie is a wonderful host. She thinks of everything, even complimentary s’mores ingredients. I love having this tradition with our kids and grandkids!

This is our fourth time staying at Julie's Raytown Lake cabin. We absolutely love it here. The property is so close to the James Creek launch for us to take out pontoon boat out. We are able to prepare all our breakfasts and dinners at the well equipped kitchen and picnic at the lake. Nights we are either hang out on the deck or at the firepit. The house is immaculate and we appreciate the air conditioning since the week was a super hot one. We will be back again!

My family (husband, me and two adult sons) & German Shepherd stayed here over Thanksgiving. Great location, lane is a bit washed out, but driveway to the house was great. Cottage was cozy and well stocked. Great appliances, great stock of pans, cookware, utensils. Very nice layout - the upstairs with two beds and the downstairs with one. Well stocked with linens, blankets and paper products. Great to not have to pack all of this! As many reviews have said - the place was immaculate and very well kept. Loved that it was dog friendly and still very comfortable. Not many places to hike on the property - but the parks and trails around it provided exactly what we were looking for. Overall, great place, nice location, great host. Will definitely look at staying again! Thank you!
