It has been said that this is the coziest house in the world.
Warm in winter and cool in the summer, it has 4 bedrooms. There is a full bath upstairs (with washer & dryer), and a master suite with tile shower downstairs. It also has a half-bath, mudroom, covered porch, spacious living room and an open kitchen and dining room.
Coffee time in the morning or amazing après ski dinners at night are a treat when you are surrounded by windows in the open plan kitchen. The property features a large back yard with views of Mt. Mansfield and Hunger Mountain.
The house has a high definition TV with all the best apps (Netflix, Amazon, etc.) and both hard wired and wireless internet access in every room. There is off-street parking for several cars in the driveway.
It is an older house, and the stairs are a little steeper and narrower than those found in most homes today. Most people have no problem (our young kids are fine on them), there is a handrail (and baby gates available), but if you have trouble with "normal" stairs you'd want the downstairs bedroom, or a different house.
The location is centrally located between Stowe and the Village of Waterbury in a quiet, picturesque neighborhood.
The house is a perfect haven of tranquility. But also close to some of Vermont’s finest attractions - the Ben & Jerry’s factory and the Cold Hollow Cider Mill - are both within 2 miles. Also in town are many amazing restaurants, including Hen of the Wood and Michael’s On the Hill. We’re very close to Waterbury’s newest bar/restaurant/yoga studio, The Zen Barn! And nearby Stowe boasts too many fine restaurants and pubs to list.
Just a short drive from the house is the best downhill and x-country skiing, boarding, mountain biking, hiking and canoeing in New England. Within 10 miles lie Stowe Mountain Resort, Trapp Family Lodge, Waterbury Reservoir and the Lamoille and Winooski Rivers. Skiing at Bolton, Sugarbush and Mad River is nearby.
Just across the street is Hope Davey Park with playground, a skate park, ball fields, Frisbee golf, and walking/x-country skiing trails.
This is our vacation house and we're excited to share it. That said, the neighborhood is quiet, so please, no party groups!!
Strict no pets policy. Kids are very welcome.
If you book, please take minute to tell us a little about your group to satisfy our curiosity :)

Tyler’s farmhouse was the perfect home for our grown family to gather. We were in Waterbury for our son’s wedding, and the home was a perfect place to spend the mornings! It is so darling, comfortable, and has everything you need for your stay. We truly wish there had been more time for us to enjoy the house! Everything was clean and the yard was spectacular! We would love to come back sometime!
Loved the location, very quiet neighborhood. The spacious kitchen, dining room and sitting area, along with the natural lighting from all the windows, was absolutely gorgeous! The back yard view looked like a golf course fairway? Thank you SO much again! We will be back.
Property exceeded expectations! Great location, quiet neighborhood but close to everything, very well appointed in bedrooms, kitchen, and living room. Will absolutely try to stay again on our next visit to Waterbury.
Three generations of our family loved our stay in this welcoming house. Plenty of space to gather or spread out depending on the time of day. Comfortable beds, beautiful views of the mountains, fresh apples from the trees in the backyard, we couldn’t ask for more.
The old farmhouse was beautiful, clean and spacious! We enjoyed every minute of our stay there.
This was a charming farmhouse with lots of character, natural light and large private back yard. Convenient to downtown Waterbury and Stowe.
Great spot. Waterbury is only a few minutes away plus the house is close to Stowe and Burlington. Very well appointed with a full kitchen and more than enough space for our party of eight. The host Tyler made himself available should we have needed his assistance (we did not). Highly recommended.
Plenty of space for 4 adults and 4 kids. Great backyard. Easy access to area attractions.
Couldn’t have been more perfect for our needs. Cozy with plenty of character. Clean and comfortable. Great location.
We loved every minute of staying at this beautiful farmhouse. The pictures do not do it justice! Between the spacious living area, the fully equipped kitchen and the beautiful views of the snowy backyard, this home provided us with a much needed weekend of relaxation. It was nice coming home to some hot chocolate and a comfy sitting area after a long day of skiing. We will definitely be back.
Charming, cozy, well appointed. The house suited our needs very well for Thanksgiving with our adult children (4 of us, and there was still an extra bedroom we didn’t use with twin beds) Great location between Waterbury and Stowe, and easy to get on the highway to Burlington (we did all of these). Neighborhood is quiet. Best for one family, as, since it’s a remodeled old farmhouse, it still has the charms of close living (ie not much sound insulation). We kept our sense of humor about that! But would certainly come again! It’s a gem of a property?
We have a lovely weekend away ! Perfect location !
Our 2 and 6 year old boys were fans of the house—the toys, books, game, and Smart TVs available, along with a big rocking horse, were such wonderful touches. Having gates available for the steep stairs was such a relief. There was plenty of space for larger or a couple of families. We were impressed with how nicely the older house was kept up/redone (bathrooms and kitchen appliances, air conditioners worked GREAT during the heat wave) but was otherwise comfortable and low-key. The house was well supplied and stocked (including our favorite Dyson vacuum!) and we appreciated the quick and helpful communication from our host when needed. One thing that could be improved is having curtains in the “kids” room-this was notably missing and we rigged up some sheets over the windows to try to block out morning light. For the adults, we would have slept better if the mattresses weren’t so firm. There was lots to do in the area during the day. Our stay was at the beginning half of the week, and we found out that a lot of the recommended restaurants are closed—word of warning! Between that and staffing shortage, we had a difficult time finding/getting served dinner, and may have planned differently and cooked at home more had we known. All in all, a great destination and excellent choice for home away from home!
Great property for a family stay. Great location close to hiking trails . lakes and restaurants. Owner was helpful. Thank you for sharing your home!
We’ve stayed here many times and have yet to find a reason to reduce even one star. This place is consistently perfect. If we could give it 6 stars, we would.
