Welcome to a perfect place to get away from the busyness and relax! This cozy home has two bedrooms (each with a queen bed and one with an additional twin), one bathroom, a nice sized kitchen with dining area, and roomy living room.

Off the kitchen is a double sliding door that opens to a large deck overlooking the bay, with a propane grill (May-Sept).

Down a flight of stairs, you will discover a peaceful 12x12 deck where you can enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning or lunch on the picnic table. Down another flight of stairs will bring you to our fire-pit just a few steps from the beach where you can read a book or take long walk down the beach in either direction.

At the far end is a county park and with the proper permits you can clam, fish and crab. Our view contains amazing sunrises, graceful eagles, seasonal seals, loons, osprey, occasional boat traffic and constant beauty. We are nestled from the weather in a quiet bay off the Puget sound.

The house is stocked with games, puzzles, a few books, a TV in the living room, and WiFi for your devices. We hope you can come to enjoy a book, a s'more, a walk at low tide to see what lies under rocks, a game with loved ones and let stress melt away.

There is an great restaurant (Ajax Café), 24-hour QFC, bagel shop, coffee and hardware store (for all your fishing needs) 5 minutes away. We are on the Olympic Peninsula so day trips to explore the mountains, pacific coast or rain forest are ideal. Two great retired naval forts are 10 and 20 minutes away, they are great places to hike, explore and enjoy yummy ice cream. Port Townsend is 20 minutes away with great shopping, more restaurants, farmers markets, festivals and theaters.

Loved the shabby chic French country inspired cottage on the water and beach access, with big views and lots of out of door spaces to enjoy. The beds were warm and cozy. The spaces generous to enjoy with friends. I'd come back for sure. Next time in the summer when we can enjoy the beach and outdoor dining options. Loved it!

Staying here was a truly wonderful experience. Communication with the hosts was excellent before, during, and after our stay. The property was exactly as advertised, though the photos did not begin to capture the beauty and serenity of this place. The hosts have provided everything a guest could want, including board games, books, binoculars, and spotter guides. The view was spectacular, the furnished deck was wonderful for barbequing and watching the stars, and the access to a very lovely private beach was the best perk of all. The neighborhood was quiet, and everyone we passed had a warm smile. The drive from the Port Townsend Ferry was only 20 minutes, with plenty of dining, grocery, and fuel options between the home and town. Overall, it was one of the best stays we have had. We are hoping to return to enjoy it again in the wintertime.

Nice lakefront cabin. Has a patio overlooking the lake and steps that go down to the beach. Wide windows that give sweeping views of the water. Parking is right in front of the house. The host was very communicative and responsive and flexible with our check in time.

This beach cottage was perfect for our 40th anniversary getaway. The vibe is comfy and unpretentious. I loved! all the books-even Nancy Drew! We loved watching the tides on our inlet, and enjoyed a fire on the beach one night. Very quiet and peaceful. I also loved the well stocked kitchen, as we prefer to cook and eat in at the end of a long day exploring the Olympic Park and its incredible trees.

Owners were very communicative, easy to work with, and everything worked as they said. College buddy and I used it as a place to crash in between golf rounds at Dungeness, White Horse, and Port Ludlow. Location was quiet, accommodations were comfortable, and it had everything we wanted/needed. The beach view/access was great and we even caught some red crab off the rocks down the beach by the campsite with a crab snare (didn’t keep them though). It’s a classic cottage size and feel and I would definitely go back again.

We loved our trip to the Sandcastle! Gorgeous views, comfy beds, and long walks along the beach made for a peaceful family vacation. We took day trips to Port Townsend and to Bainbridge Island to catch the Seattle Ferry. We also hiked Anderson Lake State Park which was gorgeous. All in all there is so much to do here and the Sandcastle was the perfect headquarters for our adventures. The kids loved the water at high tide and had lots of fun exploring low tide. Great opportunity to unplug and enjoy nature.

We loved this cottage. It is steps from the beach. Two nice decks to enjoy outside and two huge windows to enjoy from inside. It is located on a subtle cove which birds loved. The cottage is very well appointed with everything you may need. We will return sometime in the future. Also, it is only 13/4 hr from SeaTac.

Perfect location and easy space to be at home in. Lots of small touches to make the stay pleasant. Beds comfortable, bathroom spacious. If needed a lot of dvds and books, games and Great binoculars were available. It rained hard both days, but we were cozy and happy. Great place. The stairs are very steep, although banisters are well placed, just be aware. Thank you!
