The kitchen was very well equipped. I thought the Bunn coffee maker was broken, but it was operator error on my part. You have to pour a couple of pitchers of water in it to fill the reservoir, before you plug it in. Then it has to be on for 15 minutes to heat the water before you make a pot of coffee. There were no instructions. After communicating with the host, I watched a YouTube video and read the instruction manual online. Then it worked! I would have much preferred a Keurig machine. I only gave the check-in process 4 stars because the house wasn't ready at 3PM, or 3:25 PM when we tried to check in. That was annoying after an 8 hour drive to get there. There is a smart TV with streaming apps so you can log into the same streaming services you use at home, like Netflix, AppleTV, and Max. We couldn't watch a local broadcast of a Packer game because we don't have a TV provider at home. (we use an antenna and stream shows). The TV could have used some instructions regarding the 3 remotes. I had a little trouble figuring out how to enter the dates of my stay, which is the first thing you have to do to watch. We were there in late December during a snowstorm. The house is tight and was warm. There is a smart thermostat that sets back the temperature to 62 degrees at night, and warms up the house early in the AM. Some instructions regarding the thermostat would have been helpful. The bathroom is compact with limited counter space. The shower was ok.

Cody had clear instructions on how to get into the home and check out instructions. We loved how charming the house is with a guitar and turn table to play vinyls. the house had all the amenities and was so clean!

The house was a great place for a weekend trip in northern WI. It had a close proximity to the lake, and was in a great part of town. Host was communicative and friendly. We had a nice time and would definitely return!

Super cute place. Loss of nice touches. Kitchen odds berry well stocked. Close enough to walk to the lake. Yard and patio are great for relaxing.

Updated older home in a cute neighborhood near shops and restaurants. My friend and I stayed for a girls' weekend trip to Door County. Great location at the base of the peninsula close to 42. The host was very communicative, and the house had everything we needed. Would stay again.

Relaxing weekend getaway with all the comforts of home. Made smores by the campfire. Photographed the big dipper. Played some competitive checkers. Enjoyed many records. Made the most amazing steak dinner I ever made in my life! The only thing i would like to suggest is supplying toilet paper! We only had one roll.

We found a kitchen with all of our favorite things - bottom mount freezer on the fridge with icemaker; gas stove; split sink with a deep and a shallow side; and sharp knives. Lots of pots and pans and every tool you would ever need to cook from scratch. Dishwasher is fast and not real loud, so you can run it at night. 2.5 steps only into the place for easy access. Lots of room in both sitting rooms for maneuvering around and for playing by kids. Plenty of reading material and some fun distractions for both adults and kids. Nice antique reproductions or actuals. Fireplace and very comfortable beds. Shower is small, but great for kids, with a built-in seat for them to sit on. Great water pressure and lots of hot water. Wand to help with rinsing smaller people. TV worked great, with minimal wifi interruptions during streaming. The thermostat must be studied a bit to learn about AC vs. heat, but we have the same set up at home, so easy for us to use. Great yard with sunny and shady quadrants. Firepit was clean and ready to use. Got great oak firewood by the roadside in Door County for $5 a dry bundle. There was wood everywhere up North. In short, you should book this wonderful home away from home, and we will be back!

It was nice place to stay. The only thing was that the one bedroom without a fan was hot to sleep.

Not at all biased, but this was my former home in Algoma, Wi. The new owners have done a lovely job of doing some cosmetic updates, but still keeping the charm of a 1903 farm house in tact. The check in, check out process was a breeze....the home was in pristine condition. I can not recommend this property more highly to anyone looking for a place to stay that is close to Door County, but much, much quieter and less busy! Algoma has loads to offer on its own, but its proximity to DC increases the possibilities and experiences! Thank you, Cody, for taking such good care of such a lovely place!

This VRBO ended up working well for us as we traveled to other locations in Door County proper. The home had spacious gathering places. We loved being able to use the grill & eat outside. The space seemed well maintained & generally clean. All communication with the host was easy & helpful. We would stay here again.
