This property is in an amazing location! Only a 10 minute walk to a bunch of restaurants and a short drive to a bunch of wineries. Host is very responsive to messages. Would recommend!

Everything was as advertised. Owners were kind and supportive. Location, near downtown Charlottesville, was convenient. We didn't use the kitchen a lot, but it had everything we needed for a short stay.

The interior was as expected. Clean. A bit dated but ok. We did not stay longer than 6 minutes. We could hear voices and activity coming from the basement. Some doors were locked leaving us to question why. The refrigerator and freezer were full of food including unidentifiable leftovers. The front door was equipped with a ring that whistled every time someone approached or left as well as a doorbell chime when you actually opened the door. The side door was equipped with an alarm that announced “Side Door Open”. We quickly realized the owners actually live there full time and simply hunker down in the basement when they do rent the brick rancher. We notified them of the noise and concerns and that we were departing immediately. They responded that their grandchildren were visiting for the summer. Although they said they did not have a pet I distinctly heard a dog bark. Perhaps the dog is also just visiting. Disappointed and well into the evening we went to Mas Tapas for a bite to eat and got a room at the Homewood Suites for the night. We had planned to stay two nights and attend the Fae Fair, however, daunted and exhausted from the experience we returned home.

The house was in a great location, close to downtown and restaurants while only being a short drive to Monticello. It was comfortably furnished with a full kitchen. If you plan to stay several days and want to buy groceries and cook, I would let the host know. The fridge and freezer were very full. It didn’t bother us as we had just a few food items to put in there, but there wouldn’t have been room for a grocery haul. Communication with the host was easy and they were responsive to our questions.

The property is beautiful and is located right right across from the main gates of the US Naval Academy. It’s a very short walk to multiple restaurants and the lovely downtown area. It has a lovely kitchen with everything one needs, comfortable bedrooms and a very comfortable living room with a nice television with a great selection of channels. Sean is an excellent host. He’s very helpful and very responsive. I couldn’t recommend this property more highly.
