Visiting Grand Rapids for the John Ball Zoo Lantern Festival (April 8 – June 15) Our home is located less than a mile from the zoo, making it the perfect place to stay while experiencing this incredible nighttime event. Guests travel from all over to see the beautiful illuminated lantern displays and glowing sculptures throughout the zoo, and you can easily walk or take a quick ride there from the house.
