Just a little over seven miles away, take the whole family to the Living Desert Zoo and Gardens dedicated to the deserts of the world. If you want to get out and do a little hiking and exploring, pack your sunscreen, a picnic lunch, and plenty of water, and make your way to Joshua Tree National Park, or head out on the trails that wind through the 25,000-acre Pioneertown Mountains Preserve, both about 40 miles from this home.

Outdoor music is prohibited. Music that is played indoors must not be heard outdoors. City ordinance states that any music that is audible from the property line is a violation. People noise during the day is permissible but must be measured and reasonable. Daytime is considered 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
The minimum length of stay for this home is 28 nights. For stays of 29 nights or more, additional discounts may be available, please contact us for more information.
For stays of 28 nights or more, there is a utility deposit of $1,500 for 28 nights with $375 added for each additional week the guest stays. This goes towards the use of the gas and electricity. The guest is refunded the remaining balance of the utility deposit, which is determined by the usage according to the utility companies. Any remaining balance is refunded to the guest within 45 days after the departure date.

    Pool area was so perfect House was roomy-perhaps a bit in need of loving care. No closet in small bedroom. Mgmt bought a clothes rack. Mgmt was extremely quick to respond to our questions

    Enjoyed our time here. The house was beautiful and house was well equipped with cooking essentials and is clean upon arrival. Only issue was check out time is to early.

    After browsing multiple homes to rent we chose to stay at Modern Mirage. The location was great and the value was great. This house has been stocked with all utensils you may need to cook with. Wish we would have known there was a huge stock of coffee! Don’t buy any! The check in process was quick, but inconvenient that we had to go to the management company’s office to sign documents in this modern age. Once we arrived at the house we couldn’t gain access as the key was jammed in the lockbox and had to wait for the property host to let us in, about 30 min. The beds were comfortable, the pool was lovely. Would rent here again, but only affordable if you are a party of 4 or more.

    The property was beautiful, but many things had not been maintained properly for the cost of the property, the worst of which was the pool that cost an additional $50/day to heat and the hot tub that was supposed to heat the pool didn't work. Contact was made daily to the rental management company Vacation Palm Springs, an employee came to the home daily, but the situation never was fixed on day 6 of a 7 day stay the pool company was finally sent out and the employee told us that there was an issue with the pool and the filter and pump needed to be serviced and would be serviced the day we left. I was told I'd get a refund of the pool heating fees by Alex at Vacation Palm Springs, I have yet to see the refund. There was a sliding door that didn't lock and electrical fuses that blew when a hair dryer that was part of the house rental was plugged in. I would not recommend staying at this home, the rental price was too high even in the off-season for the lack of maintenance by the rental company that is managing the property.

    This was the fourth home we've rented in Palm Desert (3 other companies) and easily was the highest value. Unlike the other homes, the house was ready when we arrived; the pool was warm, instructions were clear etc. The house itself had everything we would need for a family of five and was centrally located in the desert (this house was close to all shops/stores and not a 15 minute drive like prior homes in La Quinta)/. Reservation team was friendly in person and on the phone. The team was responsive and seemed to have good spirit.
