Coastal Paradise Awaits: Dog-Friendly Beachbreak Bungalow in Santa Cruz

Host was welcoming and quick to reply any time we had a question. Flexible allowing us to arrive early. Home seemed to have everything we needed.

Loved the backyard! The best part of the whole house. We enjoyed spending the evenings out there. Only thing we wish there were some string lights out there, would’ve made it that much better.

House was great, very clean and comfortable, nice furnishings, and a quick walk to the beach. Backyard was large and we enjoyed hanging out on the deck.I would definitely stay there again.

The home is lovely. It was very clean, nicely decorated and well-stocked with all the necessities, including beach towels and chairs and all the kitchen items to cook a full meal, and large refrigerator. The backyard was perfect for meals or playing games on the picnic bench, or just hanging out on the various comfortable chairs. There are 3 bedrooms, wherein the beds were quite comfortable. The only potential drawback is one bathroom, but it was fine for our family. The owners were responsive to questions via text and check-in and check-out was easy. Short 10 min walk to the beach or 2-minute drive. The house and yard are dog-friendly.

We had such a great stay! The home was well stocked with everything we needed, and it was a short walk to the beach. Our host was wonderful- couldn’t have had a better experience.

My family and I had a wonderful stay and thought the property was beautiful and just what we needed! The bathroom is small and a little tight for our family of 5, but was expected from reading other reviews. Great communication and would love to come stay again.

We had a great time, the home is cute, clean and the back yard is really nice. The back fenced yard has grass trees and shade with a nice path to the beach right outside, perfect for our small dog. If you are a beach person this is home is in the best area of SC, we would definitely stay again. Thank you Amy!

This cottage was absolutely wonderful. It is very charming and an easy walk to the beach. It was great to able to bring our Border Collie on our family vacation. Amy was very easy to work and was a terrific hostess. We loved our vacation and would definately come back here. Bob Branson

Beach bungalow was everything as advertised on VRBO. Very cozy, comfortable, and felt like home. We didn’t want to leave and plan to return. Thank you to the hosts for sharing their lovely house with others.

We opted for this sweet cottage because it allowed pups and had minimal stairs - which we needed for my elderly grandfather. It was a cozy place to stay, and the beach nearby was also perfect.

This cottage is a true gem! It is in a great location just north of pleasure point and south of twin lakes. Set in a very quiet location just a few minutes' walk to the beach. The residence is charming and comfortable with a large back yard and deck that is accessible from French doors to the living room - making it perfect for indoor/outdoor living. I stayed in this cottage for a month in the summer and can say with certainty that anyone looking for a quiet get-away in a comfortable home will be very happy.

Overall great lil house. Very clean, very good owner communications, good service, some water and wine in frig upon arrival. Great backyard! Dog friendly means dogs welcome, but in the welcome letter, it suggests bringing sheets and blankets to cover furniture so as not to incur additional fees from dog hair. This may be helpful to know in advance. We covered sofa, chair, and the beds, and also brought dog bed, dog carrier just to be safe. Nice laundry room located outside, but not a real functional clothesline for drying out back. Plenty of hooks all over property, both inside and out, to hang stuff. Only one bathroom, which is very tiny. Gauge your travel partners carefully, as this gets pretty cozy with six people! Oven was not easy to use, but stove was gas (worked fine). Windows VERY hard to open and close, but old fashioned locks were charming. Walk to beach down street and sandy waterway was easy, only took less than 10 minutes. Backyard patio huge, landscaped, lovely, patio table good for games and meals. Outdoor light oddly turns on with almost hidden outdoor switch behind a chair. Would stay again with less people (were 6). Great for small family, or a couple, ideally 4 close friends.

Easy to locate and gain entry. Very clean and nice furniture. Comfortable for our family of six. The beautiful backyard was a bonus especially with kids. The owners communicated promptly on any concern. Can walk to beach and many places. Just perfect! Can’t wait to go back there again!
