Chestatee River Cabin

Beautiful cabin, beautifully decorated and amazing views. Hosts thought of everything you need. Would love to return, would love it even more if we could purchase! Highly recommended!!

We loved our short stay here. It has a gorgeous view of the river, the home was spotless, and had everything we needed.

The home was cozy, and the view was beautiful. The owners were helpful and wanted our family to have a great experience, which we did. We will be back!

What a beautiful setting. Beautiful house well decorated great porch and very friendly host one of our favorite places. If I had to knit, I’d say, brighten up the interior a bit in the kitchen and living room.. we love the place

Soon I will lose count of how many times we have stayed at this beautiful property! The previous stays were in December when the town was lit up for Christmas. This time it’s spring. Really, it doesn’t matter the season. We love it here. The home is clean, well equipped and welcoming. The hosts are extremely kind and attentive when needed. It truly feels like our home away from home. Our first year we invited my husband’s sister and her husband to join us. They loved it so much they made the trip themselves a couple more times. My husband loves to fish. I love the wineries. So it has always worked out great. Enjoying a cup of coffee in the morning on the back porch. Or a glass of wine and a fire along the bank of the river. I look forward to our next visit!

Wonderful cabin for a nice relaxing getaway. Had everything we needed. We enjoyed sitting on the porch watching the river. Good location. Close to downtown Dahlonega and just a short ride to Helen.

The cabin was terrific! Immaculately clean, nicely updated, all types of amenities, including hair dryer, make-up mirror (game changer in my opinion), nice shampoo/body wash, coffee pods, sugar AND some creamer in the fridge. It was just very clean and really thoughtful. Met the owner Bruce who was so pleasant and helpful! Little town of Dahlonega was super charming with really friendly folks. We will be back!

From the moment we arrived, we were completely charmed by this beautiful and cozy retreat. We had the opportunity to personally meet Bruce. He welcomed us warmly and gave us some tips about the area.The property is impeccably clean, thoughtfully organized, and clearly maintained with great care. Every detail made us feel comfortable like at home.The view is simply stunning, peaceful, scenic, the perfect backdrop for a relaxing getaway. We especially loved the spacious, fully furnished and clean patio overlooking the river.The location strikes a perfect balance between seclusion and convenience, with easy access to road and just a short about 10-15-minute drive to shops and restaurants.We recommend this place highly, it truly exceeded our expectations. Bruce's place is awesome and was incredibly clean! Everything was well stocked. Check in was guick and easy. Excellent value! The deck and the view were great! Bruce's communication and response time were very quick.We would definitely stay here again if we revisited the area!

This was the easiest 5 star review I have ever given. The host was welcoming and made himself available for anything we might need. But we really didn't need anything because the property was so well maintained and had everything we needed. Will definitely be a repeat visitor!

Beautiful cabin by the river stocked with everything you could possibly need while away from home. You can tell that the owners put thought into the decor and making everything cozy and comfortable. We look forward to visiting again when it's warm enough to enjoy the back porch.

The host was very welcoming and the home had everything you would need. It was very clean and loved that each bedroom had it's own bathroom. The location was perfect, and easy to get to.

This was our third stay at this cabin. It’s always exceptionally clean nicely decorated for Christmas.

We loved staying here. Beautifully decorated with the charm fitting a riverside cabin. Bruce was a friendly and courteous host. This floor plan was very comfortable to spend time relaxing and soaking in the natural setting next to the river. We would love to visit here again.

This was hands down the best VRBO vacation ever! The home was warm and welcoming and the view was so relaxing! Everything was clean, perfect and updated. The shower is phenomenal! Thank you so much for the Christmas tree in the living room! We will definitely have to make this an annual thing. We came for Christmas in Dahlonega and it did not disappoint! All the people are just phenomenal. Can’t wait to go back!

What a great house to stay at! It was very clean and neat. The view outback is wonderful with the running river. Also great water pressure in the showers!

The hosts were outstanding, and the house was perfect. Perfectly clean, and was stocked with everything. The property was beautiful and it was so fun walking along the river. We had a fire one night and sat on the swing, it was great. I cannot recommend this house enough! We will absolutely be coming back.

The cabin and deck are absolutely gorgeous. The owners did an outstanding job. A gas fireplace is always a plus for me, too. Great beds and linens and soaps! The location is perfect, just a few minutes away from downtown and hiking. I have been going to the mountains for the last 15 years and this here is my favorite place to stay. I had the pleasure of meeting the owner, Bruce, who is a wonderful host and very nice person. He and his wife live right next door but don't fret, you have plenty of privacy.

We all love the layout of the house. This is the 4th time we have stayed in this house. We love the house, the property, the area and it is central to all wineries and both little towns.

The house was very clean and everything we needed for our stay was provided. The home was beautiful. It was laid out perfectly so cozy and inviting. Loved spending time on the porch in the morning and afternoon. We will definitely come back again.

The host has always greeted us upon arrival-very nice. The property is clean and well maintained. Everything you’ll need for a pleasant stay is there. The host’s attention to detail is wonderful and appreciated.

This was our second visit to the river house. It's very comfortable for two couples. We spent most of our time relaxing on the back deck, and the guys did some fly fishing on the river bank. We took day trips into Dahlonega (great lunch at Shenanigans) and Helen, and had a delicious, quiet lunch with no tourists that day at the nearby Unicoi State Park Lodge.

Good location, clean, wonderfully furnished and stocked with everything needed to enjoy a wide range of activities. We especially enjoyed the river view!

We stayed 7 nights in this relaxing get a way. The home was fully stocked with cooking utensils to shampoo and kleenex! We brought food in from Tomatoe House. I think we went there at least 5 times. Used the grill. Played games and cards on the deck, swung by the fire pit and walked the river.

Best place we’ve ever stayed in Dahlonega! Everything that was needed was provided.

House was immaculate. Was not aware that the owner was only feet away. Riverbank was not cleaned up enough to fish. Felt like everything we did was being watched. At times, the owner was making too much noise for us to enjoy porch time.

Check-in was easy and was greeted nicely by Host. Properly as nice as the pictures. Comfortable furnishings and super clean. Bathrooms and kitchen well stocked. Couldn’t have asked for anything else. Absolutely loved staying there.

This is a great location. The hosts thought about all the details, and they were prompt and easy to work with. What I loved most about our stay was the back porch overlooking the river. We spent hours there, talking, recharging, remembering, anticipating, planning. I highly recommend you give this place a shot if your looking to get away, be able to stay at the cabin, and have a refreshing time.

What a fantastic place! Spotless and perfect for a relaxing stay in the mountains. The cabin has everything you need and is close to everything while being private and secluded. My wife and I look forward to coming back.

The house is immaculately well kept and the view is stunning! The decor is beautiful and cozy. It truly felt as though we were staying at a treasured friend’s home. Details throughout the home were very thoughtful. After the drive, it was such a treat to discover frosted mugs in the freezer to enjoy as we grilled out. We loved having coffee on the deck, wading in the river, and reading on the swing. We did not want to leave and will be back!

During our trip up a terrible storm blew through the upper north Georgia area knocking out power, downing trees and causing general chaos. We loved the porch and deck out by the River, the s’mores night at the campfire, and the entire cottage itself. It was perfect place to host family over for the evening. We hope to come back!

This property is amazing. The house was very clean and had every amenity we could want or need. We enjoyed sitting on the back porch area, on comfy and clean outdoor furniture, listening to the sound of the rushing water. We loved this place. The owner lives next door-we met him and he is a very nice and helpful host.

Bruce and Lisa have created a beautiful, peaceful place on the Chestatee. Comfortably furnished and decorated, immaculately clean. Wish we could have stayed longer.

This cabin was immaculate, extremely well equipped, everything worked perfectly, even all the light switches were labeled. The floor plan with 2 master suites was perfect for 2 couples. We enjoyed the large porch overlooking the river and our host, Bruce, told us to look for the family of ducklings and a pair of bald eagles. Dahlonega is a cute town to visit and we did several hikes in the area. We can’t recommend this cabin enough and certainly hope to return!

My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon and had an AMAZING time! The property was clean and welcoming, with amazing access to the river and town! Bruce and Lisa were so kind throughout the duration of our stay, as well. We would absolutely recommend this spot for any type of stay!

Beautiful property by the water. Everything was clean and the decor was as relaxing as the river. The host was gracious to stock pretty much everything you need. Host was also quite knowledgeable of the area and the history of Dahlonega. This location was a wonderful ‘find.’

Our stay was exceptionally good. Everything that was stated online was exactly how we found it. The cottage is very pretty and well maintained. It was exceptionally clean and had everything you could want. We were very happy to stay in a place that was well cared for and loved and would love to return again one day.

The cabin was just as described online. It was beautiful and very clean, which is important to me also because our stay was in December there was a Christmas tree and lots of little extras in the cabin, absolutely darling.

This isn't the first time we stayed at this cozy home. It indeed will be our go-to place when visiting north Georgia. The home has everything needed. It is clean and just a warm and inviting home. We love the location. Away from it all yet easy to get to town and attractions such as some great nearby wineries. And being right on the river is awesome! Great location close to several wineries and Dahlonega. Right on the river. Clean, well stocked. The beds are comfortable. The owners have really tried to have everything you need. No cons to this property. to

We loved everything about our stay at the Chestatee River Cabin. It was clean and very well maintained. The attention to detail was much appreciated, Before we even arrived we knew what to expect. Bruce was in contact with us and gave specific instructions to get us right to the cabin...even went as far as to warn about the drop in speed limit 2 miles out! He greeted us upon arrival and made sure we had no problem with entry. One evening there was an issue with the gas fireplace (operator error) and he came over at 8:30 p.m. to check it out. We appreciated the coffee, sugars and creamer and also the toiletries (which were top notch). The location was great, only a 15-30 minute drive to all the activities we wanted to do. There's plenty of hiking nearby and we spent evenings playing games or sitting by the campfire, wood provided by Bruce. This was a very comfortable stay for girlfriends who wanted to get away from the city, do a little shopping, but mostly chill out. This is definitely the perfect cabin for 2 couples, a small family or a couple friends wanting to get away! Thank you Bruce & Lisa for opening your sweet cabin to us.

We stayed for 4 nights using yhe property as a base to explore waterfalls, photography, hiking and birding hotspots. Nice location just outside Dahlonega along the Chestatee River. Enjoyed eating on the proch

Bruce and his wife do an amazing job of thinking of everything! All you need to do is bring your bags and groceries! Amazing view on the river, every amenity you could think of to include marshmallow holders for smores. We so enjoyed the back porch and take a walk along the shore down where the rocks are and enjoy the sounds! We went downtown and enjoyed all the shops and fall decorations. Thankyou for sharing your piece of heaven with us. A great girls weekend after dealing with 2 hurricanes!

Dahlanega is a quite town in the Georgia mountains. This cabin VRBO had everything needed for a wonderful stay. Lots to do in the area, wineries, shopping, hiking, golf.

Very clean and efficient property on the river. Great location. We enjoyed visiting the local wineries that were all very close. Close to town for meals and visiting the local shops! Relaxing time!

This property is just beautiful. The river is calming and relaxing. It rained every day except one, so we were unable to enjoy this beautiful porch. The porch is covered, but the wind and rain prevented us from going out. The house is excellent and you have everything you need or want. It is decorated beautifully. Our host was very nice and answered every question promptly.

I couldn't be more pleased with our selection to stay here. The host not only greeted us upon arrival, but made sure if we needed anything to call, and stopped by to say goodbye. The house is over stocked, and not with cheap supplies. I felt like I was at home. Down to the paper towels and toilet paper lol. We all agree we would stay here again in a heartbeat. Also fishing in the morning to me was such a treat. Book this one and don't think twice about it. It has excellent reviews for a reason. They obviously care about this place and the people staying here. God bless you all and thanks for the great experience.

This house is in the perfect place on the river. Close to Dahlonega Georgia. My husband and a friend stayed for a week. The house is beautiful. Had everything we needed including shampoo and conditioner. The pictures don't do it justice as to actually being there. The house was spotless. Very comfortable beds. The back deck was so nice to sit in the morning with my coffee and watch the river go by. It was so fun to walk up and down the river. Very accessible. My husband fished a little. Bruce and Lisa were the perfect hosts. They were right next door if we needed anything. They greeted us when we got there. Very good people. We sure appreciate them sharing this beautiful gem with us. We will be back. :-)
