Charming Horse Farm Country Cottage on Rolling Hills

The guest cottage was very relaxing, cozy and in pristine condition. Deb and Jeff very hospitable and friendly, The cottage was delightful and the property with the beautiful horses were amazing. It was very close to Suttons Bay which made it easy to shop and dine. We would love to go back. It was heavenly.

Perfect guesthouse in a beautiful setting. Besides cleanliness, a comfortable bed and uniqueness of staying near the horses on the property, the location is perfect for exploring the traverse city region!

enjoyed my stay. beautiful property and guest house was adorable. Clean with an extremely cozy bed. Thank goodness there were only the 3 of us because the loft was difficult to access with the built in ladder. did not see owner for directions on what was accessible or not. Overall loved the place.

We absolutely loved staying at Slocombe’s Horse Farm. It far exceeded our expectations. A beautiful cottage with a beautiful setting. Love, love, love your sweet CeCe. It was also very charming to say good morning to the horses and have one answer us back. From the cleanliness to the comfortable bed to the nice bottle of wine that greeted us, our entire stay was perfect. So perfect that The day we arrived, I booked our next stay . I look so forward to coming back to stay. Thank you so much for your hospitality and sharing your beautiful place with us!

Our family stayed in this great little guest home on a horse farm for our niece's wedding close by. Couldn't have been a better spot for us. Our teenaged boys loved the loft and the grounds were beautiful to take a stroll around when we had a free minute. Host was awesome to deal with and everything was as advertised. We will be back when we visit the area again and hope this rental is available.

What a beautiful working horse farm with a great guest cottage and gorgeous grounds. The cottage has one bedroom but also has a loft with two beds for the younger generation. Host/Hostess were most accommodating, friendly, and happy to answer all questions. Location is very close to the village limits of Suttons Bay on M 22 and we had an easy ride to the Suttons Bay/Traverse City bike trail, which was paved and relatively flat the entire distance (15 miles). There was also easy access to nearby golf. Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore, and quaint little towns such as Leland, Glen Arbor & Empire.

We loved our stay here! Debbie was extremely welcoming and helpful and even introduced us to her beautiful horses. The barn cats were even friendly! The guest house was clean and had everything we needed. Debbie also gave us some wonderful recommendations on where to go to make our exchange student’s first trip up north a memorable one. Thank you so much and I really hope to visit again!

This was our second stay at this beautiful VRBO in Suttons Bay, and it was just as magical as the first. Nestled on an active horse farm, the property offers a peaceful, scenic escape that’s perfect for families looking to unwind and reconnect with nature.The owners, who live on the property, are incredibly kind, generous, and welcoming. They went above and beyond to make our stay special—inviting us to help feed the horses and even giving our daughter the unforgettable experience of trying her hand at horseback riding. Their warmth and hospitality made us feel like part of the family.The setting is quiet and serene, with the gentle sounds of horses and rustling trees creating a calming backdrop. It’s the kind of place where you can truly relax and soak in the beauty of northern Michigan.We’re so grateful for another wonderful stay and can’t wait to return again. Highly recommend this unique and heartwarming getaway!

Great location, quaint setting & easy access to TC, Leland, Suttons Bay.

The guest house was perfect for two people. It was a quick 2 minute drive to town. We hadnt gotten any instructions for entry to the guesthouse since the owners were away, but the horse care takers were so nice and friendly, they showed us around and got us settled in. We loved the horses and the cats. And we had the most beautiful view of the Northern lights the 1st night. We would love to stay again. ininstructionson entry gotten any instructions o entry but

Very cozy, comfortable cottage on gorgeous property. (Lots of hooks, hangers, shelf space in the bedrooom, bathroom too)The owners are terrific, and we loved meeting the horses! It is a great location: very close to shopping, multiple wineries, Fishtown, State Park. Thank you for a great weekend!

Beautiful guest house located a few minutes to downtown Suttons bay and close to Northport, Glen Arbor, Empire, Leland and Traverse City. Jeff and Debbie are amazing hosts. We will definitely be back.

We had an easy experience from check in to personal encounters with the home owners to check out. It was effortless. The relaxed environment enhanced our experience and made it easy to explore early mornings and into late evenings.
