We really enjoyed our stay here. Perfectly walkable to anywhere.
We loved the historical aspect of the house but we were not comfortable. It was too hot upstairs and too cold downstairs. We needed a trash bag and couldn’t find one. Some simple cleaning or paper products available would be nice. In the big picture of life it was great and we feel blessed to be able to stay and see our family.
Quick and easy process. The house worked wonderfully for us.
This was a super clean, very unique house right in the center of Montrose. Convenient to everything we wanted to do, we spent 2 weeks hiking and enjoying Colorado. The fenced yard was so nice for our pup, and the little touches like coffee filters and laundry soap were very much appreciated. Check in was easy, and communication was fast and easy. I would certainly stay here again!
The Blue Bungalow was an ideal spot for our long weekend stay in Montrose. The hosts were outstanding & super responsive. The front & backyards were ideal for our dog. We would definitely stay here again.
We spent the weekend here. It was very nice. The house is nice, and well decorated. It has a lot of great local touches. The owners are good at communicating. It is walking distance to a lot of restaurants, cafes, and breweries. If you bring dogs, there is a great dog park down the street by the river.
We loved the little blue bungalow! It was great for my dad & I plus my 60lb dog. He loved both the separate fenced in front area & fenced in yard. Was too cold to hang outside long but in summer or fall would be an awesome area with a dog! Loved the cute little dog friendly things around the house & the local artwork was very cool. Communication with Lori was quick & great. Would definitely stay again if in the area!
Everything was as advertised. This is probably the best deal in Montrose.
Great place. The host is excellent and very responsive!
Nice bed and sheets. Kitchen bathroom and frig need a good cleaning. Light bulb over kitchen sink is out. Very cold home. Floors and walls stay very cold at night. Temps were 15 degrees at night. We were glad we had our slippers. Nice yard and location.
We had a wonderful stay at the Blue Bungalow . Loved all the special touches of this sweet cottage and would definitely recommend !!!
Super nice dog friendly place. Having a fenced in yard was so appreciated.
Our short stay at the blue bungalow was wonderful. It was our home base while 4 wheeling the San Juan’s. What an amazing experience. Montrose has such awesome restaurants and people. We slept wonderfully and loved the back patio in the evenings.
My husband, two adult sons, our dog and I stayed at the Blue Bungalow because of its proximity to Black Canyon, which was about a 20-minute drive. The house was built in 1905 and had very cute decorations. The beds were comfortable, the house was clean, and the kitchen had everything we needed to cook breakfast one morning. We liked that the yard was fenced in for our dog. We also liked that we could easily walk to a couple restaurants/bars from the house. The steps leading upstairs to the bedrooms are a bit steep and have a few diagonal steps to make a 90 degree turn, which were a bit hard for my husband and I to navigate, and were also a bit tricky for our dog. Otherwise, we enjoyed our stay.
Cute, clean, conveniently located bungalow. Nice amenities with front and back porches to sit and sip.
Cute bungalow, close to downtown. Nice to be able to relax on front porch.
The hosts are very accommodating and very considerate for pet owners. My dog was very comfortable and doesn't want to leave. Hosts communicates everything well and easy to find and use things. Easy checkin and checkout. House is very clean and well stocked. Thank you Lori!
Everything was nice. Property owner was very nice, responsive, and tried to be helpful when we thought we might have to change our plans. Only suggestion we have would be to have the air conditioner running. We didn't arrive until around 10 pm and it took quite a while to cool down enough to go to sleep.
Enjoyed our stay
Fun to stay in a quirky but comfortable old (for the West) home, walking distance to parks, restaurants, etc. Fenced front and backyards were handy for our dogs. Bed was super comfortable, the softest sheets I've ever had. Pretty much everything you'd need was provided, including coffee beans, an assortment of teas, and dog biscuits. There may be a couple things that may matter to some guests. The stairs to the second floor bedrooms are steep, so not good for toddlers, people with bad knees, or in our case, a dog that we discovered was afraid of heights. Also, two lots down, CenturyLink has a large satellite station. If you're worried about EMFs, this might not be the best place to stay. We figured being down near the base might be better than a block away. It undoubtedly meets national guidelines, but some individuals are concerned about these things. The tower, that looks like a mini offshore drilling rig, makes it easy to find your way home.
