Stayed Nov 26, 2025Worked great for us! Best bang for your buck!! I definitely recommend staying here. We spent Thanksgiving here & did some trail riding with a rented Expedition from in Lead. We cooked breakfast every morning & it had all the kitchen utensils you would need. The grill cover from the previous people had covered up the hot water sensor outside & I had to bug the host on Thanksgiving— he was very responsive & helped me figure it out immediately. The water heater is on demand & it actually had great water pressure which is harder to come by in newer developments around here. The fenced in back yard worked great for dogs as we would let them roam while we hot tubbed in the back yard. If you have a larger dog they might try to get out to meander but we just kept an eye on ours. The fence isn’t super tall on one side & of course they found a hole to weasel out once. We did have to give the hot tub some TLC —there was some grime on the sides when we arrived that we wiped out and then we shocked it & ran the jets a day before we used it but it wasn’t a big deal for us. It’s a really nice modern hot tub & all the jets/lights worked. Note: If you stay in town at this place or any place in Lead over winter I would recommend you have 4wheel drive as the roads in town are very steep & can get icy quickly. If you stay here over winter months utilize the furnace thermostat as the mini splits are meant more for air circulation/ milder climates so they have to defrost every once in a while.

Stayed Aug 22, 2025A friend and I came up to do a bunch of hikes for my birthday and it was exactly what we needed! Kitchen was sticked well with all we needed to cook our meals. Loved having the ac units in each room so we could adjust according to our seperate needs. Yard was great for our dogs. We were so pleased with our stay. Would definitely stay here again!

Stayed Jul 18, 2025Very hard to find & get in /out as we had a large truck we were traveling in but the property was beautiful/clean and I would rent again if I was traveling with a smaller form of transportation. Would be perfect for the motorcycle rally.

Stayed Jul 2, 2025Cade's house was the perfect spot to stop for few days on our road trip. We loved it so much we extended a day to enjoy Fourth of July fireworks from the balcony. Cade was super easy-going and easy to communicate with. The back yard was a great spot to relax in the hot tub and the dog felt right at home. Lead, SD is such an interesting town, we loved it!

Stayed Jun 14, 2025Great setup. I was only there for a day and wished I was able to stay longer. I would 100% be booking again. Close to Deadwood, and the value if you have 3 people is a no-brainer.

Stayed Mar 20, 2025We booked this property for the location and outstanding reviews. One week before our stay, the former owner messaged and said we would have to rebook with the new owner. We were wary of the switch but decided to rebook. We were given the wrong code for checkin. The host was very responsive and checked to make sure we got in. The floors looked unswept and the master bed sheets were incredibly wrinkled. We were unsure if they were even clean, however we found clean sheets wadded up and after checking the bed decided they were clean. The hot tub did not work. We told the host and he said it was working for the last group. He told us to check if it was turned up. We tried googling a lot of different things but could never get it higher than 80 something degrees. The tankless water heater stopped working. We reached out to the host and he told us to turn it on/off. That did not fix it. We went without hot water for one night. The next morning it was discovered that the grill cover had blown off and landed directly on the vent. The hot water worked fine for the rest of the time. The dog next door started barking once we arrived. It barked basically nonstop for 4 hours. Ultimately the police were called and they handled the dog situation. There were no issues with the owners or dog after that. The place can be a really nice spot. I think we had a random unlucky string of events. The host responded each time we messaged him and did try to assist.
