Stayed Jan 25, 2026We had an incredible 16 days at the Chachalaca Villa in Charlotteville Tobago. The view of the ocean & forest, the sounds of nature from sun-up to sun-down was very relaxing and peaceful, yes even the calls of the Chachalaca pheasant. Nawaz and Rhonda were very responsive and helpful answering our questions and requests for activities and places to eat. The suite is well equipped and very comfortable with a variety of inside and outside seating areas. Tobago, Charlotteville and the Chachalaca Villa are definitely on our return to list. Thanks Nawaz and Rhonda, you definitely have a piece of paradise

Stayed Mar 9, 2025My wife and I stayed at Chachalaca Villa for four nights following Carnival '25 and a few nights at Crown Point, Tobago. This place was exactly what we were hoping for: a quiet house situated in a beautiful part of Tobago for a proper cool-down following the chaos of Carnival. The views at the Villa are absolutely stunning; my wife and I spent as much time enjoying the mornings and sunsets on the veranda as we did other parts of Tobago. Our time in Charlotteville simply wouldn't have been what it was if we'd stayed anywhere else - and we definitely hope to stay here again.

Stayed Feb 11, 2025The villa is well laid out and the view of the sea spectacular. Our hosts were very responsive to questions we had and super helpful. We recommend that you buy the fresh fish in town and have Sharon cook you breakfast and give you her coffee and hot chocolate drink at Sharon and Phebs

Stayed Jun 3, 2024We traveled to Tobago for a scuba diving trip in Speyside, and we stayed at Chacachaca Villa, which was less than 10 minutes ‘up d road’ from the Tobago Dive Experience. For us, the location was perfect. This house is perched on the western facing side of the Flag Staff ridge, which means spectacular sunsets! Surrounded by trees, the owners obviously put a lot of effort in the landscaping. Beyond the garden, WOW! You can sip your morning coffee while parrots, oropendolas, tanagers and other birds fly at eye level, over unbroken forest, with the Caribbean Sea shimmering in the background. It’s a lovely spot, what else can I say.

Stayed Feb 16, 2020A great place to lime and veg out for a few days. Very well equipped with new appliances. Only thing missing was a hammock to while away the hours. Your own car is definitely needed, even just to go down to the beach, as you are at an elevation of over 750 feet.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Our stay was better than expected. Private, phenomenal view from the deck, wonderful birding off the deck and in the neighborhood, short ride to Charlotteville or Speyside, comfortable and spacious inside. This was a good base to visit some of the best beaches on Tobago and get to the Main Ridge preserve and Little Tobago. We would stay again if we return.

Stayed Jan 14, 2020A tree fell on their cable TV line so we had zero TV or wi-fi & since it rained like crazy, there was nothing to do (like spending time at the beaches). Bring books to read in case that happens to you (the location is scenic & peaceful, but not a lot to do nearby).

Stayed Jul 6, 2019We loved staying at the villa! The place is exactly as described. I agree with the owners honest assessment that the villa is not for everyone, as it is not suitable for younger kids. you do need your own transportation and be comfortable with being in a setting away from it all. Having said that we were a family of five with three children over the age of 10 and we absolutely loved our stay there!
