Situated across from the entrance to the community is the Wright Brothers National Monument—a national park and memorial celebrating the Wright Brothers' first powered heavier-than-air flight over the sand dunes of Kill Devil Hills. If you're hungry, order garlic knots and a specialty pizza from Slice or sample some spicy shrimp noodles and spring rolls from Thai Room. If everyone in your family likes something different, Captain George's Seafood Buffet is the perfect way to satisfy everyone's appetite! The local restaurants don't have to be all about the seafood though—be sure to try a famous Duck Donut in your favorite custom flavor for dessert!
