Cathedral of Ortigia luxury apartment terrace WI-FI free

The property was centrally located and close to everything in Ortigia. The street below the apartment is awash with dining options. During the day, the street noise is relatively low, but it can be quite noisy at night....as late as 3:00 AM. The apartment is very large and well decorated...quite comfortable. The only negative is the lack of water hot enough to clean dished without supplementing it with boiling water from the kettle. The host was very communicative and was able to help us if needed. We would highly recommend this apartment.

We are a couple and stayed 5 nights in Ortigia. Apartment is perfectly located within the heart of Ortigia. Two very large bedrooms and two bathrooms plus kitchen/lounge/dining area. Restaurants/bars/snack foods and shopping on your doorstep and in all directions.An easy 20 minute walk with bags from the train station. We contacted the agent for a few minor issues which were resolved immediately. We would hope that in future, the apartment will be equipped with a drying rack for the clothes as this was the only item lacking.

This was a terrific choice. Location was ideal for everything you could want: short walk to supermarket, adjacent to Piazza Archimedes and very good cafe for morning espresso and cornetto ritual. Farmers market a 5-10 minutes walk, piazza Duomo was 2 minutes away. We walked a great deal around the Ortigia area. While few remnants of antiquity the town has plenty of interesting buildings. The archeological park on the mainland is very impressive and within long walk distance. Via Umberto 1 has a long run of restaurants of which Agape is no 1. The ortigia area is loaded w good places to eat..one of which is adjacent to the apartment. This is our 5th visit to Siracusa over 20 plus years and all have been great fun. The apartment is very comfortable. The showers were a special treat. Having built 2 myself I could appreciate the plumbing and shower layout. Both bedrooms are nicely furnished. The fornello (electric stove top) requires a bit of getting used to but once that is accomplished…it’s fun to use. Kitchen and living room are single unit. My wife thought them a bit pushed together but warmed to them as our 2 week stay went forward. About the only thing the kitchen lacked was a microwave. Overall this was the best place we have rented. We were lucky,too, in the sense that late winter is off season so the number of tourists was limited but the weather was quite agreeable, agent was very helpful.

Super super location in the heart of everything. great host, great communication, easy to book. If you don’t look into this two bedroom two bath apartment you’re missing out. Will return.!!

This is a perfect apartment for travelers. It is ideally located off the main piazza in Ortigia, convenient to walking everywhere in Ortigia and close to pick up points for Taxi and Uber to explore Syracuse. The apartment is clean, bathrooms modern and each room opens to the streets below for morning coffee or enjoying the sounds of the city. The host arranged a lock-box for us because we weren't sure when we would arrive and it worked perfectly. The beds were comfortable with temperature control in each room. We didn't have to walk more than a block to find great food and warm friendly hosts. One of our favorites is right under the apartment.

Perfect for 3 people or 2 couples

We loved our stay. The apartment is exquisite, and right in the middle of an historic, fun neighborhood. It’s on a corner of two pedestrian streets, and although it’s busy, it’s quiet with the windows closed. We would definitely stay there again. So many restaurants and cool shops and street vendors. Don’t miss the Fish House Art Gallery a block away. And we loved the boat ride around the island.

Lovely apartment! The location couldn’t have been better for walking out the door and being the middle of walking streets. This is an old building but the owner has updated the interior. The beds are ok, a bit hard if you are use to soft beds. There are 15 stairs up. The kitchen has pots and pans, a nice coffee maker but note NO forks or knives.
