    They should change the name of this house to Cigaritaville. The smell was immediately noticeable upon entering the house but thought we could live with it. Turns out, we will live it for a while as it has traveled home with us. Our house, our car, our clothes…. All smell like cigar smoke. We brought our two young kids with us and it seems pretty negligent for the listing to not mention this is a smoking household and you should avoid bringing small kids, especially infants, into that environment. Such a shame to ruin a beautiful home permanently by smoking inside but hey, it’s not my property. I will be filing a claim with VRBO and Vacasa regarding the odor. 10/10 will book again in Palmilla, but never again at this property.

    The biggest issue we had was the ventilation/house filters need to be changed because it smelled like cigarette smoke. The AC vent covers were so dirty in the bathrooms and other areas of the house. We arrived home today and all our belongings (bags, clothes, etc) smells like the awful smoke smell from the house. We are currently washing everything - even clothes we didn’t wear. For items like our duffle bags, backpacks, etc that can’t be put in the washing machine, we are airing out the smoke smell in the garage/outside. The ventilation definitely needs to be looked at before another family stays here. We had issues with allergies when we were inside the house and it was NOT comfortable for us. We felt nauseated. Besides that, I think refreshing the couch, couch pillows or living room rug wouldn’t hurt. There’s definitely a smell and we preferred not to sit there. Some of the white hand towels were stained brown. The towels can definitely be changed out. I would never stay at this property again. We stayed at a property down the street last year in the same complex, but we did not have this issue. If I’m going to pay what we did for this short weekend, there’s a level of expectation that should be met. Feeling nauseated isn’t what we wanted for my daughter’s bday weekend.

    The house wreaked of cigarette smoke and a lame attempt at trying to hide it. There were cigarette butts all around the property. Everything I brought wreaks of it now, even 4 days after we left. The house layout is great and we love Palmilla overall. We'll definitely be back but not to this house.

    This was a great home for our multi-generational family of 7 to vacation! Plenty of room for each generation to have their own sleeping areas and bathrooms and open concept for us to spend time together playing games at night, make dinners and relax after the beach, pool or outing! The beds are comfy!! Perfect location in the Community - just a short walk down to the beach or over to the pool and restaurants in Palmilla! There were lots of amenities, we didn’t even get to try them all! Construction is going on as the community continues to fill in but it was calm and peaceful to walk around and see all the different houses! We can’t wait to come back!!

    Overall nice property, but the smell is terrible. All clothes and suitcases/travel supplies smell terrible. I don’t know if it is smoke smell or what, but it absorbs into everything in the house - even items that stayed inside the suitcase the entire trip. All items had to be washed and sprayed with Lysol upon return home due to the smell.

    The house is very nice. However the unidentifiable smell is very strange. Opening windows didn’t help. It smells like new paint/ bug spray. When we first entered the property it was very strong.The bedrooms/ kitchen nice.Please consider getting new pots. Stainless steel for example , the nonstick are toxic when scratched and these were scratched.In our opinion the umbrella rental fee is very expensive and the house comes with no beach toys / chairs or umbrella. Consider that when booking. Also consider and ask if new construction is happening next to this property during your stay. We were lucky and it was very quiet.Consider beach shoes/ unfortunately the beach receives a lot of plastic garbage.

    Our stay in this home was wonderful we had absolutely zero issues. The floor plan is outstanding, it was super clean, the beds are really comfy, the porch with the rocking chairs are nice, it is decorated beautifully, it’s close to the beach and the pools. Totally happy and would highly recommend this rental property and I would stay here again.

    The beds and pillows were very comfortable. The rooms and bathrooms were a good size and there was plenty of storage space and clothes hangers in the closet, which was a great convenience. The home was very clean when we arrived and there was plenty of towels for our stay. The location is great and parking is very convenient.

    This house and resort surpassed my expectations! Beautifully decorated home, spacious kitchen with plenty of counter space for us to gather and eat, 5 minute walk to pool, 10 minute walk to beach and even quicker golf cart ride to each. There was construction behind us and we were never bothered by it. On the second day, we noticed aunts in one of the bedrooms and on the kitchen window sill. We contacted guest services and they immediately sent staff over to lay out ant traps. After that, we didn’t have any issues. We were very impressed with the friendliness and communication of the Guest Services staff. Overall, we had a great family vacation and we’re already looking forward to our next visit!

    We had a nice stay and Casitaville was a great location and the perfect house for our beach vacation! Many items were provided and we really appreciated the well stocked kitchen. While the house itself was great, we had issues getting Vacasa to attend to an ant problem we had the entire time. We reported it 4 times (both in person and on the phone) and it was never addressed. Every person staying in the house was bit at least once- including children while asleep in their bed. We are from South Texas and know to not leave food out, so this was not the problem.

    The house was had plenty room for our stay. Loved ? houses whole setup. From bottom to top. I loved that homeowners/staff thought of all the little things you would need on a vacation stay. Anything you needed it had! Don’t think there was one thing it didn’t have. Plenty clean towels, utensils, and toiletries. Again the small things and big, from washer/dryer to comfy cozy furniture. Staff was friendly too at amenities pool and Starbucks! We enjoyed our stay. Beautiful resort with lots to do. We were there for coast but had a great time on the resort itself. Highly recommend! Thank you ☺️ for having us.

    We enjoyed the house and the location on the property. Mosquitos were a challenge in the area on our trip, but guest services had bug spray for sale. There was plenty of space for our family to spread out and relax.
