Welcome to Casa Malibu! This stylish and updated home sits just one block from the sandy shores of Folly Beach. Enjoy basking in the sun on the private balcony, walk to the beach and enjoy a refreshing rinse-off in the outdoor shower upon your return, and indulge in the outdoor amenities including a gas grill, wraparound deck, and expansive grounds surrounded by lush greenery.

The well-equipped kitchen flows into the dining space and living area with tons of natural light, and two outdoor access points where you can grill out and dine under the trees on the large wraparound deck. Large flat screen TV in living room offers evening entertainment. Extra sleeping can be utilized on the sleeper sofa in the living room for 2 more guests.

This large property offers 3 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms. Each bedroom has a ceiling fan, smart TV, and vaulted ceilings. Bedroom 1 has a king bed, en-suite full bathroom with a large walk-in tiled shower and claw foot tub, plus a private balcony with lounging chairs. Bedroom 2 is just off the kitchen and features a queen bed with en-suite jack and jill wet bathroom that is shared with the third bedroom. Bedroom 3 is furnished with a full on bottom and twin on top bunk bed, and has it's own private rear entrance. The interior entrance to the third bedroom is via the second bedroom, or for more privacy you can access it through the rear entrance. High-end linens and towel sets provided for the maximum occupancy of the home.

There is parking for 4 vehicles in the driveway. Additional vehicles must find off-street parking where available and follow the City of Folly Beach rules. Uber and Lyft are very scarce on the island, please plan your transportation accordingly. Check-in is at 4:00pm and check out is at 10:00am.

Center Street is just 1.2 miles away, to wander through shops and explore restaurants. Take a walk down or fish from the second longest fishing pier on the east coast, the Edwin S. Taylor Fishing Pier. Bike to the far east end of Folly, down E. Ashley Ave, to the ¼ mile walking path leading to the picturesque beach to take in the serene view of Morris Island Lighthouse. The farthest point at the west of the island has the Folly Beach County Park and more manned lifeguard stations. Several local tour companies offer paddle boarding, kayaking, fishing, and shelling tours, sunset cruises for dolphin watching, as well as surfing lessons.

Historic downtown Charleston is a mere 25 minute drive away. Neighboring towns of James Island, Johns Island, Mount Pleasant, Isle Of Palms, & Wild Dunes all have something special to offer, whether you are a foodie, into golf, historic sites, or craft brews. Golfing is a popular pass time in the Lowcountry, so you can find several nearby at Stono Ferry, Patriot's Point Links, James Island Community Course, and world-class courses on Kiawah Island.

Casa Malibu is strictly non-smoking, and is a family vacation rental. Home is pet-friendly with a $125 plus tax non-refundable pet fee, per pet, paid directly to the property management company after booking. A maximum of 2 dogs are allowed. Amenities include beach gear credit, Wi-Fi, fully stocked kitchen with modern appliances, outdoor shower, gas grill, keyless entry, washer/dryer in detached building on property, linens, towels, central heat and air conditioning, 24-hour emergency on-call staff. A starter amenity kit for bathrooms and kitchen are provided that guests replenish as they need. Property is managed through property management company. No gatherings allowed that exceed the maximum occupancy of the home, 6 guests. Must be 25 years old or older to rent. We hope to host you soon on Folly Beach!

**HOUSE SUPPLIES**
This property is managed by a property management group. We provide a complimentary starter amenity kit to get you settled. Guests are responsible for replenishing supplies as needed during their stay.
Two rolls of paper towels, 1 sponge, 1 dishwashing liquid, 3 trash bags, 3 dishwasher tabs, and 2 kitchen towels in the kitchen. Each bathroom will have 2 toilet paper rolls and at least 1 bar of soap. Full bathrooms additionally include kits with travel size products: 1 shampoo, 1 conditioner, 1 lotion bottle, and 2 makeup wipes.

    The house was very clean and spacious. Seating space was very open and I would think would be well suited for families. As we were only two people, we didn't use the massive upstairs bedroom and attached bathroom. One thing that did stand out was the back room was attached to a jack and jill bathroom - but appeared that bunk style room those persons would need to walk through the other bedroom to get to the kitchen and living room unless they walked outside. All the usual kitchen amenities, massive refrigerator. It was unfortunately very rainy and windy the weekend we were there so unable to comment on exterior amenities. Restaurants and downtown Folly were just over a mile away. Would stay again.

    The location was great — close to the beach and in a quiet neighborhood — and we appreciated being able to check in early after a long trip. However, the property needs significant maintenance. The exterior photo is outdated and doesn’t reflect the current condition. Boards are rotting, paint is peeling, decks need work, and outdoor lighting is minimal at night.Inside, the décor felt cozy and beachy, but cleanliness and upkeep were disappointing. The floors were sandy and dirty, especially on the stairs, and many tiles were cracked. In the back bedroom, the window AC was held in place with painter’s tape, the exterior door was poorly sealed (letting in light and bugs), there were cobwebs, and no bedside lamp. The bathroom window had noticeable mold.Small details were also lacking — minimal toilet paper and paper towels, only one dish towel, and a washer/dryer placed awkwardly in a small outdoor shed.While the cottage has potential and a lovely location, the current condition did not match expectations for the price. Regular maintenance and better attention to detail are needed to make this property truly enjoyable.

    Only 1 closet, no drawer space. Water runs out onto floor while showering. Washer & Dryer not convenient, low head space & mouse droppings on shelf but did not see mouse. Ants in kitchen one day. Outdoor furnishings had mold on chairs and the light fixture outside of upstairs bedroom had wires exposed with a bird nest in fixture that was falling. And cookware needs upgraded. Ceiling fan upstairs bedroom was dirty with cobwebs in light fixtures.

    Overall the trip was great and the location is really close to the beach. The only downsides were the lack of bathroom privacy, lack of ventilation in the downstairs bunk bedroom, and the bad WiFi. There were smart TVs in every room but unfortunately the wifi wasn’t good enough to watch anything for more than a few minutes. The bunk bedroom got pretty hot though because it has no vents and you need to walk through the bathroom and the other bedroom to get to the kitchen and living room which is a bit inconvenient. There is also very little privacy in the downstairs bathroom between the bedrooms because it has doors to the deck and both bedrooms. There could also be a bit more comfortable seating besides just the couch in the living room. It was very clean when we arrived and well stocked which was appreciated. There is also a very convenient outdoor shower which worked very well for us.

    This is a super cute and clean cottage! The decor is so nicely done I felt like I was at a spa retreat :) Everything felt new and modern and I can tell a lot of care is taken into running this rental. Love how close it is to the beach. Only thing I would recommend is adding more seating in the living room and a bigger table for eating. I couldn’t imagine a big family staying here. It was just me and my husband so it was fine for our trip but we did have friends over for dinner and we all had to sit on the one small couch and pull stools from the kitchen so that felt a little awkward :) Also the decking could use some better furniture and fresh paint. But I could imagine that is hard to keep up with being at the beach and all. Would have been nice to have a little bistro table on the upper deck because you can see the ocean and watch waves and have coffee or drinks up there! But was so nice to be able to lay in bed and see the ocean 10/10!I also loved the bathrooms! Felt like a little personal spa and the water pressure was like a massage. Made our little getaway so relaxing and just what we needed. Thank you for being awesome hosts we had really nice weekend 3

    This was our 2nd family vacation, when we arrived we looked around the inside & fell in love, however when my husband looked outside he saw literal feces, toilet paper, and DIRTY TAMPONS on the ground from the sewage backing up. The property managers were very kind & helpful at getting the problem resolved, however it took a full day & 1/2 to fix & got a refund of maybe 2% at first. I spoke to the property manager & literally said that was a slap in the face & then they refunded 1/2 a days worth. That wasn’t even equal to what we paid for a full day. I was over it at that point & just wanted to have a good vacation so I left it alone. HOWEVER, WE THEN HAD AN ISSUE WITH ANTS! There is an infestation with ants at that house, AND BIG ONES! They were crawling the floors, walls, and ceilings, and had a huge amount inside the wood on the outside of the house. We had to spray ant killer when they kept dropping out of the side of the house! I’ll NEVER stay at that house again. We paid I believe $3200 for an aggravating vacation at that house. Vacation should be fun & stress free… ours was not.

    My mother and i visited this property in May of 2024 and had an AMAZING time. The property is located in a perfect spot; only a block away from the beach and a short bike ride away from center street but still far enough that you have privacy and some peace and quiet. The house itself was spacious and beautifully designed, it felt like staying in a boutique hotel. I highly recommend not only this property but anything Carolina One owns, they were so helpful and responsive at all points in our trip. thanks yall for a great vacation!
