Casa Grande - 6 Bedrooms, outside kitchen, fenced pool, wheelchair friendly

Casa Grande, is originally one of the oldest farmhouses in the area, and therefore has its own very unique character. It has 6 bedrooms (one wheelchair friendly), all with en-suite shower or bathrooms, and is set in a peaceful rural location. This is the perfect location to relax, recharge your batteries and even party every day if you wish, as there are no immediate neighbours. It is only 2 km from Porches, 7 minutes to Carvoeiro and 3 minutes to Lagoa. Within 5 minutes drive, there are a wide range of excellent supermarkets. The property itself is surrounded by wine vineyards, and boasts fantastic views of the Monchique Mountains (well worth a visit) and the surrounding countryside. The nearest beaches are only 5 minutes away. To note, we have, Praia da Marinha - voted in the top 100 beaches in the world, Benagil beach - great to get a boat for a cave trip and see the stunning Algarve coastline, and Albandeira beach. Within 15 minutes drive you can choose from 5 different golf courses. Less than 45 minutes from Faro International Airport, this is a perfectly located property to explore everything the Algarve has to offer. Alternatively, you may just want to stay in and chill, enjoying all the facilities at the Villa, listening to music through the Sonos system. Fully fenced in landscaped garden with electric entrance gates. Pool, jacuzzi and sun deck separately fenced. Regularly, we accomodate guests with special needs, as it is wheelchair friendly, has a wet shower room and is fairly flat around the house itself.

The property has six bedrooms, two of which have king sized beds, the others have twin single beds. All bedrooms are en-suite with either single / double showers and/ or bath. Both bedrooms with king-size beds are on the first floor. Wheel chair access is available to one bedroom, with a wet room, special washbasin and toilet (even though you would not notice). The main advantage of the property is that there are various different areas to be. In that way, nobody gets in each others hair!! Cots and high chairs are available at the house. Bedding will be provided, along with face, bath and pool towels.The pool is about 13m x 5.5m. This can be heated, if required, at extra charge of 300 GBP per week. There is a 7 night mimimum charge. An important note is that the pool area is fenced in, thus giving more peace of mind with regards to little ones. There is also an outdoor jacuzzi in the pool area. Free wi-fi is available in the house, plus an additional access point covering, the bar, the barbecue area and some terraced areas, such as the outside sofa area and some parts of the pool terrace. A very popular option with our guests is draught Sagres beer, costing 120 Euros for 50 Litres (approximately 90 pints). We also have Strongbow Cider at 130 Euros for 30 litres and draught white wine at 120 Euros for 30 litres. It is amazing how well these drinks go down in this climate! The beauty of the outside dining/ kitchen area is that it is covered and shaded, a good escape from the sun. There are two barbecues one gas and very easy to use (plus you don't get your hands dirty!), or another for the charcoal aficionados as well as a new log pizza/bread oven.


There is also an oven, gas burners, two fridges, dishwasher and cutlery in that area to save carrying back and forth. The house boasts a Sonos music system, with thousands of songs to choose from, as well as many internet radio stations. This music selection can be played in all rooms if so required, as well as the pool area and barbecue. If that is not enough you can stream your own selection from your own playlists directly from you iPhone, iPad or Android device! A full Sky package is available including films and sports as well as cable tv with many english spoken channels. Fibre optic internet delivers a high speed internet connection.  In the entrance, there is also an area with a separate tv and playstation 3, with games for all ages, karaoke, etc.,and a selection of board games etc. There are also quite a few books for your reading pleasure. To keep everybody active, we have a pool table, table tennis, football table, darts, football and nets, three adult and three children bicycles, water polo nets, and a trampoline. Additionally there is a outside play area for young children with climbing frame and slides. There is a small herb area, to use at will, some fruit trees, avocado trees and passion fruit growing. Obviously, we cannot guarantee that they will be in season or ripe for eating.


In essence, these are all the ingredients for the perfect family holiday.

WEDDINGS AND CELEBRATIONS AT CASA GRANDE:

There is an event surcharge of £2,000 for any form of event or celebration. The Refundable Security Deposit would be increased to £2,000 in these cases. The maximum guest allowance would be 50 people, including the guests staying at the villa (and includes children over 2yrs old). Should you be holding more than one event during your stay, then the event charge will be multiplied accordingly. 


No event/ celebration/ gathering can be held at any of our properties without prior consent. Fireworks are not permitted and all music must finish at midnight. There must be always be a recognised wedding/ celebration event planner in attendance on the day. 


Given that this property is mainly used for events, a Non-Refundable Deposit of 25% of the total booking value will be required on all bookings. Excluding, obviously, the portion of the Refundable Security Deposit.
