Casa del Mar: A Mediterranean Dream in Calella de Palafrugell

We just got back from a week at the villa.There are no words to describe how beautiful the place is. The owners of the villa are wonderful and manage the place to the highest standard.Sylvia, who maintains the villa, took care of everything and prepared us very good breakfasts.An excellent vacation!!

If it was possible to give every single aspect of our 23 days at Casa Del Mar, we all would give a score of 15 out of 10!! I don’t even know where to start with this review. Absolutely everything was beyond expectations. Gemma and Caterina were so helpful before the trip, providing information, recommendations, and answering my frequent questions. Checking in included a tour with Gemma and the nicest welcome spread of fruits and other goodies. The house itself is exactly like the photos, if not nicer. The view is so beautiful, and the large glass doors that open the kitchen area to the outdoors creates an incredible indoor/outdoor feel. The bedrooms were all comfortable and the entire house is immaculately decorated. Silvia who comes every day to look after the house is lovely and helpful. I can’t suggest a single thing that should be changed, the house and customer service are top notch. If you are considering booking this house, you should do it- you will not be disappointed!! We very much hope to be back again soon.

Casa Del Mar is a GEM, and we had a spectacular week with our family totaling 11. The house itself is beautifully decorated and surprisingly more stunning than the photos. The design details and quality of furnishings and decor are very high end, and the house/kitchen is stocked with everything you need. The house sits atop a hill with great big views of the ocean and coastline. It's a bit of a walk in to town, but manageable, and a very short car ride, but we didn't want to leave the large outdoor terrace/pool area. What sets this apart from other places we've stayed was the amazing care and attention from the property managers. Gemma was in constant contact with us before and during our visit to help with anything. Siliva the caretaker came to clean the home every day, and also prepared food for us. Upon arrival, there was an incredible spread of fresh fruits and a homemade cake. These little touches make all the difference in the world! We highly recommend Casa Del Mar to anyone looking for a special week in Costa Brava. It's an amazing place.

This house is absolutely perfect for a family vacation!! It is warm and welcoming, and every little touch is perfect. It is perched on a hill with a spectacular view of the sea. We were. group of 14, with 8 adults and 6 kids, and everyone had space and their own rooms and baths. I cannot say enough about Caterina, Gemma , and Sylvia, who manage and take care of the house. From the beginning of the rental process, they were responsive and wonderful in their communications, enabling us to have peace of mind about our vacation. This was a 5 star vacation on every level!!! We hope to get back one day!!

We all fell in love with Casa Del Mar the moment we arrived for my mums 70th birthday week!! It is the perfect villa for large family holidays with lots of space for socialising and dinners and many hidden areas when a bit of chill out time is needed. The flowers and decoration has been carefully chosen and everyday we spotted something new and impressive. A villa which kept on giving. The pool is beautiful and cleaned daily. The rooms are spacious with ensuite bathrooms and air conditioning and plenty of storage. The master bedroom has breath taking views of the sea and surrounding landscape. Gemma and Catrina are the best hosts. They took care of us before and throughout out our holiday making sure we had everything we needed including high chairs and a cot for our little girl. If you don’t feel like cooking you must try Silvias menu or arrange for Albert (private chef) to come and cook a local feast !!! The local town is beautiful with great beaches, restaurants and shops. Perfect for a morning or afternoon out. Casa Del Mar is a dream villa and we can’t wait to return. Thanks again!!!

Looking back on an unforgettable and wonderful holiday I can only say that we were so fortunate to stay at Casa del Mar in Calella. We felt instantly at home, due to the great hospitality of Gemma & Sylvia, every room in the house had its own stylish charm, and the breathtaking view of the sea. Our children continuously mentioned they were inspired by the beautifully decorated interior design of the house, something they will never forget. We relaxed at every corner of the sunny terrace, enjoyed the great Spanish dishes (sometimes prepared by Sylvia), and celebrated life every day. In short, a holiday that we will never forget, thanks to Casa del Mar. Frank.

This was our third year at Casa Del Mar, we just can't stay away! It's the perfect house for our family. Large enough to fit a large group comfortably but also cozy enough to enjoy quality time together. It's immaculately clean, Slyvia and her team really do an amazing job. She's also a wonderful cook, we definitely recommend her menu! The amazing outdoor spaces are particularly special at this house, they are all so relaxing and unique. A zone for every mood. The House Manager, Gemma, is always on hand to help and so very responsive. Nothing is too much trouble. We love it so much, we'll be back again next year!
