Carmel Coast Serenity

I have been coming to Sea Swept for close to 10 years now and have loved every minute. It's spotless when I arrive and dealing with Steve is so easy. I absolutely love this place!

An amazing property and location - the views and access to the ocean are impossible to beat! The house is perfect for a get-away when you want quiet, secluded, beauty and all that Big Sur has to offer. Property Manager went above and beyond!

What a gem this little spot is, if you're seeking privacy and a place to feel like you can really be one with the ocean this is it. Up on a cliff with commanding views of the ocean, you can relax there or go tide pool. Everything is really quite close and convenient and the owners were great with all our requests.

Being on the ocean with 180 degree views of surf and wildlife was mesmerizing.

We enjoyed our stay at this cozy house in Paradise. Breathtaking views all around. I especially loved the view of the gorgeous tree from the kitchen window. Easy access to shopping and groceries. Gorgeous hiking trails nearby and day trips to San Francisco, Santa Cruz & Monterey kept the visit exciting. Even our teenage son had no complaints! The house is comfortable and equipped to help you feel right at home. Steve was very helpful if we had questions. We would love to visit again if Swept Away is still available in the near future.

This property is located in a SPECTACULAR location about 9 miles south of Carmel. The scenery and privacy are extraordinary. The home was comfortable, but the property is older, perhaps needing some cosmetic attention. The size of the rooms is large, though the kitchen is somewhat smaller. The layout of the bedrooms is a bit awkward, as one bedroom is a converted studio with a wide opening to the living room with no bedroom door, and the second bedroom's access is through the first bedroom or by walking across the lawn to the kitchen from the outside. None of this posed serious difficulties for us, once we got used to it. The hot tub appeared new, but a piece or two of the patio furniture needed to be replaced. Although we didn't use the kitchen for cooking, the cooking utensils, pots/pans, and pantry ingredients were plentiful. Sea otters were occasionally visitble in the sea below the house. The property managers were friendly and helpful.

House needs updating. Strange floor plan. Bed was very comfortable. Nice linens. Very clean. Not suitable for children because of the proximity of the cliffs.. But, the property has FANTASTIC views. Good art. Hot tub was a plus. Quiet, isolated. Not a luxury house, more of a cabin in the woods. Steve was very friendly and helpful. Will definitely return.

The property combines the comfort of Carmel-by-the-Sea and the amazing beauty of Big Sur. We loved the hikes around the property and the nearby restaurant. Finally, beginning and ending the day in the Jacuzzi was a special treat! Thank you for sharing
