Stayed Aug 30, 2024We had an amazing stay at Out of the Blue house. The property was amazing. The neighborhood was quiet and safe. Ocean avenue ( dining and shopping ) it was only 5 min away driving. Sanctuary Vacation Rentals Team were always responding to our questions and concerns. Overall we had an outstanding vacation and strongly recommend the property if you need a weekend getaway with the family. We are looking forward to come back. Thank you Regards , Georgiev Family

Stayed Jun 12, 2025We really enjoyed this house! For our group it would have been ideal if the in-law suite was more directly connected to the main house (without having to walk around) but we made due. The deck gets great sun much or the day. Noting the mattresses are all quite firms (can be a plus or minus depending on your preferences). The host had great attention to detail!

Stayed May 12, 2025Enjoyed the views and the beautiful dining setting. I wish the listing was more apparent that the third bedroom and second bathroom are downstairs and you need to go outside of the main house through the side to be able to reach the downstairs bedroom and bathroom.

Stayed Oct 1, 2024This house has everything possibly needed. Very thoughtfully stocked and supplied, and efficiently laid out with comfortable and tasteful furnishings. Very scenic location above the main part of town, and easy access. Particularly enjoyed the courtyard dining table. Unfortunately we were there during a heat wave, and hardly anything in Carmel has air conditioning, so it was hot in the house. Supplied fans helped. Some traffic noise at times from busy street just below house, not noticeable when doors/windows closed. Overall, highly and unreservedly recommended.

Stayed Jun 5, 2024The owner’s attention to detail was greatly appreciated. Suggestions would include adding motion detector lighting in the courtyard so guests can see the steps in the garden entry even if they forget to leave on the light.One can fall down the steps because it is so dark. It is a safety concern. Parking could have been difficult without the help from the helpful, friendly neighbors. We had a great time. Thank you!!
