Description

This property is one of three villas set in an acre of private land covered with lots of trees, flowers and cactus. This villa has two bedrooms and can accommodate up to 6 people. Quiet and spacious, laid out on three levels, Cactus hideaway is the ideal accommodation for one or two couples or a family of four or six. The upper level has the master bedroom with an en-suit bathroom with shower as well as a balcony to watch your most memorable sunrises. The ground level consists of a living room with a sofa/bed for two, a fully equipped kitchen, a dining table for 6 people, and a bathroom with shower. The cellar has two comfortable single beds and a set of drawers. The villa looks out to an airy and shady patio covered by a bougainvillea and a vine tree. In September you can taste the grapes that hang over your head. Table and chairs and armchairs are provided for relaxing and enjoying a cold drink or having lunch or dinner outdoors. Sea views right in front of you decorated by a vast collection of cactus. Barbecue on request. Tastefully decorated, the house will make you feel at home. Our purpose is to make guests feel that they move to their own holiday house in Santorini. The villa has its own washing machine and two air-conditioning units.
The villa is separate from the other two so that each party of guests is not disturbed by the others. Perfect, though, for friends who travel together and want to be close but separate.
The houses are surrounded by one acre of land which carries pine, fig, lemon, vineyard, olive trees, and a huge collection of cactuses. When the time is right, you can taste figs, apricots, and grapes right off the trees. Just outside our walls there are three tiny white washed chapels which our visitors are free to visit. Free parking on our premises.
Located in the country side in the middle of the distance between the two main centres of the island, Fira and Oia, we have easy and quick access to both Fira and Oia. You will need your own transportation. Both Fira and Oia are only a 10 minute drive from the villa. Santorini is a small island and nothing is too far.
Right down our driveway there is a small resort with a swimming pool and a restaurant. Our guests are welcome to use their facilities.
At walking distance from the house, there is a small secluded beach perfect for children.
Check in time is flexible. Early check-in is possible if there is no other guest checking out the same day. Also late check-in is also possible. Late check-out is possible if there is no other guest checking in the same day. When you arrive, I will here to welcome you and give you the keys and all the information you need about the house and the island.

During our trip to Santorini my family spent a wonderful week at Niko and Anna’s cactus Hideaway. Throughout our stay, our hosts went above and beyond in making us feel welcomed and situated within their residence.We were assisted in locating the residence as we had arrived after dark. Basic amenities such as drinking water, coffee and Niko’s personally grown olives were provided. Insight into local amenities, locals and activities were also shared. Not to mention, learning more about the island and its history during a BBQ with our hosts.The residence and its natural scenery was stunning! Boasting beautiful views of the sea and the island, as well as the occasional company from a feline visitor. The residence itself was clean and very comfortable, easily accommodating the three of us and permitting a restful space.Overall, we highly recommend Anna's Cactus Hideaway and would gladly visit again.

Loved this villa! So much character, the patio is adorable, the landscape around it holds true to the property’s name. The host lives on site. He greeted us when we arrived. He showed us around the property and gave us info on the area. We could see the sea from our patio. Watched the sun come up and the full moon each evening!

This house was in a perfect part of the island for us, as it allowed us to get away from the summer crowds but was near to some lovely beaches and also not too far from Oia and Fira. Nikos was very helpful and friendly, giving us advice on places to visit, some of the island’s best restaurants and tips on how to avoid the busiest areas. The Villa was clean and has a lovely, shaded pretty garden with a view of the sea and some interesting cactus plants!

Cannot recommend the Cactus Hideaway enough. The property was brilliant, exactly as described and so cute. Above all else, Niko and Anna were amazing hosts. We were sat down at the beginning of our stay and given a map with a run down of the whole island, including recommendations. They arranged car hire for us and everything, couldn’t have been more helpful. So grateful! It was an easy stay and a great Greek experience. Thank you!!
