Boardwalk at Grand Pavilion 134 by Wild Dunes, Oceanfront Home

We recently stayed at this home, and unfortunately, our experience was very disappointing. I almost didn’t book it after seeing a previous 1-star review citing cleanliness and the house falling apart, but I hoped the issues had been fixed, they had not.When I arrived, the toilet was clogged and overflowing, with waste on the floor, and we had to call maintenance to address it. The couches were stained, the outside area was dirty, blinds were broken, and there were broken items throughout the house. My sister had blood on her sheets, and my sister-in-law had blood on her comforter. The stair railings were dirty, and the boards leading to the pool area were broken and unsafe. We even had to put sheets over the couches to sit.The only positives were the location and the view. I do want to highlight Micheala, the manager at Wild Dunes Resort, who was phenomenal... apologetic, thoughtful, and even brought a bottle of champagne and a charcuterie board. Unfortunately, not all staff were professional; Ashlyn from customer service was rude and told me I needed more patience,” which felt inappropriate given the situation.Overall, the house needs serious cleaning, maintenance, and care. Micheala's exceptional service was the highlight of our stay, but the property itself was very disappointing.

Great property and great location. Very easy to register, gain access and check out.

First of all this unit is at a great location on the beach. Bit it is very tired and worn. It needs lots of work making the inside and the outside up to decent standards for a stay. The tile on the deck is broken. The wrought iron is rusted out. Screws are sticking out on the steps up into the unit from the pool. The second floor unit had mildew and mold on the shower curtain. The vacuum cleaner was plugged and wouldn’t vacuum properly. The outside shower to rinse off from the beach had cracked plumbing and sprayed water everywhere. The TV was not a smart tv and a very old LG tv that could not get HDMI cable. Only 1/2 the tv would show a small type show or movie. If I could post pictures I would but I’m not able to on VRBO. they could at least re invest some dollars back into the place. The other units on the boardwalk were pristine on the outside. Fresh paint and beautiful looking. Every board on this unit had rust from the nails showing through the boards and pieces of wood trim missing or rotted. Furniture is dated as well. Again great location but not worth the price.

Nice to have a kitchen and all the resort amenities. We enjoyed being on the beach at the Boardwalk

Loved the location….right on the beach and by the pool. Beverages and food available right there by pool! Other eating options are within walking distance. Spa is also within walking distance. Listened to the ocean the whole trip. Lots of room and bathrooms for everyone!
