Blue Hill, Maine
This quiet 1950’s bungalow is located 1 minute from downtown Blue Hill. It sits on 15 forested acres on the side of Blue Hill mountain. It has a newly renovated bathroom and is quiet and comfortable. There are two bedrooms with brand new queen size beds.
This property is a nice older home in the woods if you are looking for something further away from the crowds over at Acadia. It’s well stocked and has A/C and Heat for all different temperatures!
This is a comfortable house about 1.5 miles from Blue Hill center. It is, however, right on Rt. 15, so there is a certain amount of traffic noice.
We so enjoyed our stay in this home! We live in an area where we don't have such old homes, so it was a lot of fun to stay in a place with such old floors, interesting/quirky floor plan, and clever built-ins. Huge, well-stocked kitchen, and comfy living room. The AC units were a god-send. The only reason I gave it a 4 for location/neighborhood was that it was a longer drive to Acadia NP than we'd realized. (That's OUR fault, not the fault of the listing.) Even though it was almost an hour to reach Acadia, we really enjoyed the lovely drive each way, and it was wonderful to come back to a home at the end of our days instead of to a confined motel room.
Great spot to explore Acadia National Park as well as the deer island peninsula . Kayaking in Stonnington was fantastic. The house was clean and comfortable.
Spent two weeks at this rustic but comfortable and well-appointed cottage. Good location, close to Blue Hill attractions, but away from traffic, etc. Reasonable rate. Ideal for longer stay. Owner was very responsive and friendly.
The property was great and the owner provided great communication and good recommendations for the area.
Great house with well appointed kitchen and bathroom amenities. Blue Hill is a great location in and of itself and as a jumping off spot for Acadia, Deer Isle, Belfast etc. I’d rent this house again in a heartbeat…
The house is tucked away in the trees but very close to the historic village of Blue Hill. Great access to the great little towns of Downeast Maine and Acadia. Easily accessible restaurants and amenities a couple of miles away while you are positioned in the peaceful woods. Host was available, however nothing came up that prompted me to contact him during my stay. Good home base to explore the area.
We had a nice time staying here. It was quiet and clean. A little far from Bar Harbor but not too far for day trips to Acadia, Bar Harbor and other areas
