BEST OF BOTH WORLDS! Ranch home located directly on the Great Lake Sacandaga

John is amazing. Property and location is gorgeous.

We booked last minute and were so glad we chose this house. John, the owner, was very quick and easy to communicate with from beginning to end. The house is beautiful, great size for family stays, and in the perfect location. Being right on the lake was so nice and convenient. We had access to fishing poles, kayaks and floats and we used all of them. There’s literally anything you would need and more in the house. Lots of games which our kids loved, nice big TV, comfy beds and couch. Pots, pans, plenty of kitchen ware and supplies. The washer and dryer were also a nice plus to have on vacation. There’s also a grill and a fire pit as well. We forgot to get ketchup one night and John brought some right over from next door so we didn’t have to go back to the store. The walk into the cute little town is about 10 minutes and is a nice easy walk. The Timeless Tavern is a must as well if you stay here. Overall, best place we’ve stayed in around the area and we look forward to coming back again!

We had a wonderful stay on the Sacandaga thanks to a great host and a property that perfectly suited our needs. Everything was exactly as described and John was an attentive host. Plenty of space for our family of 6 to spread out and various common areas to come together. The home was immaculate and every detail thought of. We also appreciated that we were in a hamlet that offered shop and eateries. We would certainly stay again!

John, the hhost, has thought of everything. From the hotel quality sheets and towels to the complimentary wine upon arrival, John has gone out of his way to make his family home a warm and welcoming place for families to enjoy their time together. And, the lake is absolutely stunning and the perfect place for visitors of all ages to enjoy themselves swimming, kayaking, or boating. The town, too, is a quaint New York village that offers everything from boutiques to find eateries.

From the minute I hit reserve (back in March) until we drive out of the driveway of our vacation week this morning, John and his property exceeded every expectation. If you are looking for a place to enjoy nature, rejuvenate and spend some wholesome time as a family…..this is your SPOT! Spend time on the deck or on the dock or walk around the quintessential town of Northfield to the 5 and Dime or boutiques shops, you won’t be disappointed. The house is great, offering a great kitchen set up for preparing meals, plenty of space for comfortable relaxing and conversation and great sleeping spaces making for a comfortable night sleep. This truly is a home away from home. Thanks so much John!
