We had a wonderful stay in this property! Everything was clean, well appointed, and in good order.

The house was very clean and cozy and a nice home base for visiting the local wineries. We visited during a very cold weekend after a snow storm and Rachelle and Don did a great job preparing the property for us and giving us a heads up about the road conditions in advance. It’s a lovely property with lots of privacy and beautiful scenery.

We had a wonderful girls weekend at Beavers Hill! The hot tub was great and the place was immaculately clean. The hosts were very responsive to communications and provided lots of information about the property and things to do in the area. Would definitely return!

This was our second stay at Beavers Hill. We love the location and how quiet and relaxing Blue Mountain is. The cabin is well-appointed and very comfortable. The fireplace is perfect, and it is the perfect place to kick back and relax.

The comfort of the cabin was great! Everything was clean and in working order. Well stocked with pots, pans, dishes and utensils. A couple more dish towels and some hand soap would have been nice. Overall a great mountain retreat!!

Great communication with host. House as advertised and was EXCELLENT. Super clean. Great space for 4 to 5 adults or a family of 6. Hot tub was excellent, and both porches were fantastic. The roads to the house get narrow and when it is dark, it is DARK. Best if you arrive before dark if possible. Once you are there enjoy the solitude. Really great stay!!!

All was good except we had no sugar packets to make tea and did not think to bring coffee. Brought K-cups though!Lovely experience and we would like to come back.Thank you for all you did.One other little problem was we did not see the 153.Could it be lit or use reflective paint on the numbers?Thanks again!Lovely!

We had a wonderful time at Beavers Hill Cottage! Rachelle and Don made it super easy to get all the info we needed and were super responsive. We brought our dog, Riley, who loved the outdoor spaces (no fence so we used a long lead). The hot tub was a huge plus and easy to use. The deck was enjoyable, the perfect to watch the sunset and have dinner.

The house was very nice and in a deep forest. Most ads would probably say secluded instead of isolated. For us, we picked this place for exactly that reason but be forewarned if you expect to be able to run to the store because you forgot something, you will be in store for quite a drive. Ther were plenty of utensils, pans, etc.for cooking and a nice looking BBQ on the deck but we did not use it. The TV was a streaming device so no OTA reception but no problem for as it accepted our subscriptions. The wifi was fine but we had no cell reception. The hot tub was great and we took advantage of that amenity. The driveway was steep as the owners said in their description but we did walk up it and the road numerous times although it would be a hinder for some so not necessarily a walkable place. We used it as a base for some Civil War sites and, of course, Skyline Drive and the Shenandoah Valley National Park. We enjoyed our stay.

Very clean and well maintained. Could use a mirror in each bedroom. Clear instructions for check-in and check-out. Location is beautiful, but somewhat remote.

This was a wonderful house to stay in for a long weekend. All the appliances and kitchen items are quality. The bedrooms are spacious and the hot tub was amazing after days of hiking. Also the Roku TV was very easy to log on to. We will definitely plan to visit there again.

It was a nice relaxing get away with all of the essentials needed. The privacy and quiet was a major plus given that we’re from the city. The hot tub was a major selling point and a nice way to wind down after our adventures during the day.

Four friends spent a long weekend visiting wineries and Shenandoah Valley towns. Beavers Hill cottage was exactly what we needed for our home base. It was very clean and comfortable. Although we did not do much cooking, the kitchen had everything we needed. We had a lovely weekend, but up in the mountains it was foggy and damp, so we did not get to enjoy the deck as much as we hoped. Maybe next time.

This was our third time at Beavers Hill Cottage. I think the best recommendation is a returning visit. This place is great! It’s quiet and clean. We would highly recommend.

Beavers Hill cottage was the perfect spot to escape to the woods with dogs and friends. The house was immaculate, well appointed (though, not fussy), and the hosts were very accommodating. Would highly recommend.

Wonderfull quiet private location surrounded by trees. Well maintained and comfortable cottage which is well stocked. Thirty minutes to Skyline drive and 30 minutes to Sky Meadows state park. Great place for couple or family.

We had the most wonderful time staying at Beaver Hill! We visited Shenandoah for the first time last year and instantly fell in love, and had been planning a trip back ever since. Found Beaver Hill Cottage on a whim and now we’re planning a trip back to stay as well! So peaceful and quiet, and Rachelle and Don’s attention to detail made relaxing on our trip so easy.

Perfect getaway for this hiking family. My college age kids just finished for the year so we took a mini hiking vacation before summer jobs start. Don and Rachel's communication was top notch. A storm took out the power and within 4 minutes we received a message from them with an ETA of restored power plus some back lighting and water. The unit itself was wonderful, comfortable and clean.

Nothing but good things to say. Very clean, organized, well maintained, fantastic hot tub and a bottle of wine. If you're cooking, bring everything, only salt & pepper. Would definitely stay again!!!

Everything was perfect about our stay. The location is secluded enough to feel like the mountain was ours, but not far from attractions, winery, restaurants, fuel, etc. The cottage itself was clean and offered quiet places to relax and sip some wine. Great time!!!

Property is a beautiful cottage in the woods. Very clean with a delightful decor. The wood stove is great. We enjoyed watching the sunset through the trees from the hot tub. We had a great winter weekend stay at this property.

Our stay at Beavers Hill Cottage was lovely. The hosts are very detailed and their description of the property is spot-on, so be sure to read the details about the roads and driveway so you aren’t surprised. They were proactive in reaching out to us and monitoring the weather. There was a light dusting of snow during our stay, and we were able to bring our own wood and take full advantage of the wood stove and hot tub on a cold day. The cabin is cozy and feels very private even with a few neighbors scattered about. It was a great weekend get away, and we would definitely rent here again! I would also recommend checking out sky Meadows State Park nearby! The location is perfect for exploring the area.

We scheduled a birthday and inauguration getaway weekend. A unique challenge faced us when a snowfall was predicted for our getaway. The owners were very forthcoming in their communication and proactive. Upwards of 6 to 8 inches were predicted and that is exactly what happened. The steepness of the driveway prompted us to follow the owners’ advice to park at the top of the driveway. Thankfully, the neighborhood is very active in clearing the roads. Even with our all-wheel-drive vehicle, it was challenging to get out of the neighborhood. Mind you, temps were in the teens!! (I think even in summertime, the steepness of the driveway would keep me from parking at the bottom.)The house is absolutely spotless, charming, and accommodating. The property is wooded, secluded, and private. The hot tub pure bliss. We enjoyed our stay very much. And look forward to going back in the future.

My friend and I had a wonderful stay at this cottage! The house was clean, exactly as pictured, warm and inviting. It's in a quiet area and it was nice to relax. Lots of things to do near by as well, we went to the caverns, winery and a couple local spots to eat. We always felt safe and secure in the house, all the amenities were great! Thank you!

My partner and I had a fabulous, romantic, Christmas getaway with our dogs. The cabin is immaculate and we loved the hot tub.

We absolutely love this cabin! It was extremely clean and well kept. The grounds were immaculate. Kitchen was well equipped with all the dishes pots, pans, and appliances you would need. It was very easy to use our numeric code to get into the cabin, and the thermostat was very easy to use. We did realize after the first night that some of the pillow cases actually had two pillows in them. It was much easier on the neck the second night.That being said, we were extremely surprised by the pitch and length of the driveway. The driveway is extremely steep and thank goodness we did not have snow. It was suggested that if there was a little bit of snow, we should walk down this driveway, but that would have been very dangerous also. In order to get to this cabin, you are driving on quite a few back, dirt roads with no guard rails in order to get there. I don’t think this was made clear in the post. GPS was spot on to find the cabin.Overall, it was a fabulous two night stay and we wish everyone well!

We loved Beaver Cabin. It was very comfortable. It was so close to so many things yet so isolated at the same time. I can't wait to see it in other seasons. As a cook, I appreciated all the kitchen items you wanted on hand. Well appointed!

This location offers two very positive aspects, 1) in the middle of everything we were looking for, and, 2) a beautiful secluded area to stay in. It is definitely clean and the layout was perfect for us. It had a comfy feel and we settled in quickly for our four day stay. The hosts had a book that was well inclusive of anything you need at the house or in the area. Please note that while not the hosts fault, Apple Maps does not take you to the correct location, but some nice neighbors assisted in locking in the location. We will definitely not hesitate to stay here again in the future, especially now that we know how to find it, lol.

This was our second time staying at this house. I think the 1st might have been in 2017. And this 2nd visit was as good as the 1st, or better. The property is clean and well maintained. Cute place!

We came to town for a wedding but wanted a special place to stay in. Beavers Hill Cottage fit the bill. We really enjoyed our stay. We especially enjoyed the hot tub. There is a lovely deck, but we never had time to just sit out there. The kitchen is small but has everything you need for cooking/grilling. It is located really tucked away in the woods, so it takes a bit to get there, but it's worth it! We were able to explore the area a bit by going to Shenandoah National Park which was lovely (bring your national park pass if you have one). There are LOTS of wineries to visit. We especially enjoyed one called Glen Manor (bring your own snacks and sit outside)!

This is an excellent mountain cottage with privacy and beautiful fall foliage in October. The many windows helped us enjoy the changing colors of nature. It is super well equipped with everything you will need to relax during your stay. We wanted a place near wineries and the Skyline Drive and found those nearby and easy to get to. A fabulous book with tips from other people who had stayed there was incredibly useful and sitting on the dining table when we arrived. We will definitely return next year.

What a relaxing weekend get away with our puppies! The cabin was very clean, spacious, and the kitchen was very well stocked! (First time I've ever seen a crock pot in a VRBO!) There was also plenty of green space for our mini dachshunds to play. Very close to Fox Meadow winery, which was amazing, and close to other wineries if that's your thing. We were able to hit an apple orchard. We would definitely stay here again if we come out to the area!

Exactly as listed, private, lovely setting. It was great we could bring our 2 dogs along. Our Beagle enjoyed the exploring the new smells. Had a visit from a deer family. Well appointed kitchen, we had everything we needed. Would definitely recommend or rent again in the future.

Loved loved loved it here. Not many hosts allow dogs, and it was such a treat to bring them. We went hiking every day, to a winery for a wedding and just enjoyed being on the mountain with silence & space. It was just the two of us, so we never even went upstairs.

The cottage was absolutely adorable! The location was a bit remote but once there it’s so peaceful.

We were in town for a Food and Wine event. The cottage is a very nice and clean home in the woods. Has everything you need in the home. You are in the mountains so the road/driveway to the house is narrow. Plenty of wineries around to visit. Living room, bedrooms, bathroom, and kitchen were clean. Comfy beds. The cottage is secluded, and you can get a lot of down time. Easy check in and check out. The host was very responsive. I recommend this home if you’re looking to be away from everything and rest. The gravel road which leads to the cottage can be challenging if you’re not use to driving in that type of terrain and I recommend you have a small AWD SUV or bigger. Not sure how a small sedan would do on those roads. Just a recommendation.

Lovely house for a relaxing getaway. Beds were comfortable, everything was clean, and it was easy to get in touch with the hosts. We had a wonderful stay!
