You'll reach The Vue via a well-maintained gravel road. AWD or 4WD is required from November through April due to winter conditions, though 2WD is usually fine the rest of the year. Parking Max 4 vehicles.

Perched high on the mountain overlooking the Shenandoah River, this private getaway offers breathtaking panoramic views, peaceful surroundings, and the perfect setting for relaxation, adventure, and time spent with family or friends. Reaching the home is part of the experience. A winding gravel road climbs gradually through the forest, creating a sense of leaving the busy world behind as you approach the property. When you arrive, the reward is immediate. The home sits high above the valley with sweeping views of the Shenandoah River and the rolling mountains beyond. From sunrise lighting the ridge lines to golden sunsets across the valley floor, the scenery provides an ever-changing backdrop that makes every moment here feel special.



The home is designed to make relaxing and gathering easy. Large windows bring the outside in, filling the living areas with natural light and framing the stunning mountain views. Accessibility and convenience were carefully considered in the layout of the home. The front entry is wheelchair accessible, allowing guests to enter comfortably without steps. Three of the four bedrooms are located on the main floor, making it easier for guests who prefer to avoid stairs while still providing plenty of space and privacy for everyone in the group. The thoughtful design allows guests of all ages and mobility levels to feel comfortable and at ease throughout their stay.



Step outside and the experience becomes even more memorable. A private hot tub offers the perfect place to relax while taking in the incredible views of the valley and surrounding mountains. GETTING IN



The front door has a Schlage smart-lock keypad — no key needed. Your 4-digit access code arrives by message before your check-in date:

- It activates at your scheduled check-in time and works through check-out.

- A 4-digit backup code is included in case the primary doesn't work.

- If neither code works, message us through your booking platform and we'll respond as quickly as possible.

GETTING HERE



The home sits at the top of a mountain on a well-maintained gravel road. Front-wheel drive is sufficient most of the year. AWD or 4WD is required November through April due to gravel access roads and winter conditions.



LANDMARKS



The house is tan — helpful when looking for it on Donna Court, since several mountain homes share the same road.



HOT TUB



The hot tub is included in your stay, but does require a signed waiver before first use. The waiver link is sent in your guest message after booking — sign it on your phone, no printer needed. If you have any trouble with the waiver or activation portal, message us directly through your booking platform and we'll get it sorted same-day.



CHECK-OUT & CLEANING



Standard check-out is by your scheduled departure time. Our cleaning team typically arrives shortly after — they may park at the top of the road or out of immediate view, so please don't feel rushed if you don't spot them right at checkout. If you'd like a late checkout, we may be able to offer one for $50 (subject to next-day reservation timing).

Despite its secluded feel, the property is conveniently located near the heart of Front Royal, known as the Canoe Capital of Virginia. Here, you can explore a wealth of outdoor adventures, including river activities on the Shenandoah River, hiking in Shenandoah National Park, and discovering local wineries and historic sites.

Car Access & Parking:



Given the home's scenic mountaintop location, having a personal vehicle is highly recommended to fully enjoy the area. The property offers ample on-site parking, making it convenient for guests traveling by car.



Local Transit Options:



Front Royal Trolley: The town operates a fee-free trolley service that provides local transportation within Front Royal. It's a great way to explore the town's shops, restaurants, and attractions without driving.



RideSmart Commuter Bus: This service travels from the Waterloo Park & Ride Lot to key locations in Washington, D.C., including Rosslyn, Metro Center, and L'Enfant Plaza. The bus offers amenities like free Wi-Fi and comfortable seating, making it a convenient option for commuters.



OmniRide Western Express: Connecting Front Royal to the Gainesville Park & Ride lot, this service allows passengers to transfer to express buses heading to the Pentagon, Rosslyn, and other destinations in Northern Virginia.



Virginia Breeze Intercity Bus: This state-operated bus line provides service between Blacksburg and Washington, D.C., with a stop in Front Royal, offering additional travel options for guests.



Ridesharing Services:



Uber and Lyft: Both services are available in Front Royal, offering convenient options for local travel. However, wait times may be longer than in urban areas, so scheduling rides in advance is advisable.



Park & Ride Facilities:



For guests interested in carpooling or using commuter buses, several Park & Ride lots are available in the region — Crooked Run (off I-66 at US 340/522), Linden Park & Ride (I-66 and VA-647), and Linden Chevron Station (near I-66 Exit 13).

This stay does require a $300 Authorized hold for Security Deposit.

For security purposes, exterior cameras are installed at the driveway (floodlight), the front door, and the lower exterior corner of the home. There are no cameras inside the home.
