We had a wonderful week in Gilles and Sandrine's house. It was easy to find from the directions and we were met by one of their friends who lived close by.The house was even nicer than we expected from the photos and had everything we needed for our stay and to cater for 4 hungry boys! The house is very close to Beynat, which is a lovely little village with a traditional boulangerie and a decent sized Caffefour. We enjoyed the small market on a Sunday and had coffee around the square a few mornings after getting our bread and croissants.A visit to the Lac de Meil is a must during your stay and there is a great restaurant there that does lovely pizzas for lunch or we visited one night for dinner which was delicious. The house was perfect accommodation for the 6 of us (2 adults and 4 teenagers) and we hadn't appreciated from the photos that the two upstairs rooms share a bathroom which was ideal for the boys. The master bedroom then enjoys a large bathroom itself. The boys loved the pool, the boule court and the pinball machine! My wife and I particularly enjoyed having a drink on the terrace in the shade, looking out over the view. There was also a dinning table in the shade which meant we ate outside everyday.Gilles and Sandrine were very quick to get back to us when we messaged them and were very friendly. We love this part of the Dordogne Valley and wouldn't hesitate to visit the house again another summer.

Another wonderful stay at this beautiful house! The heated pool was just perfect for the hot weather. Every year we find more gems to visit - this year we discovered the beautiful waterfalls (cascade de murel) which are just 15 minutes away and the Abyss de Fage (incredible caves) which are 20mins away. Can’t wait for our next stay!

A really lovely property in a fantastic location. We had a fab week, our two boys thought it was the best holiday home we have stayed in. The villa is so well equipped and the pool is great, we used it everyday. We hope to book again.

Just spent another fabulous week here. The house and pool were wonderful (pool is the perfect temperature!). Found lots of new things to do and places to visit (highly recommend quad biking and pédalos at the lac du miel which is 5 mins away). The Gouffre de Padirac is less than an hour away and is a must see (if you can face an early start I highly recommend booking the first slot of the day at 8am to avoid queues and you pretty much get the cave to yourselves!). We’ll be back next year!

This was our second stay at this house and it was just as wonderful as we remembered! Alain, who welcomed us on arrival, lives in the hamlet and was really warm and helpful. We explored some new places this time around which were wonderful (Argentat, which has a brilliant market and a lovely creperie with view of the river called Bistro des Quais - be sure to book though - and Beaulieu-sur-Dordogne, both of which are 20mins away). We couldn't have asked for more!

The house and the swimming pool were great and the region is really beautiful, very green, very pure. We had a very nice week. The weather was fine. We were really very relaxed. Maybe one thing : the distance to the village Beynat was about 4 - 5 km on a very curved road. However, the village itself was very cosy, offered everything we needed and the people were friendly.

We had a great holiday staying at the house that was spacious, great views and a well equipped home with all mod cons. The heated pool was great and being close to the house and veranda allowed us to supervise our kids with ease. The kitchen and veranda area were great and well equipped with plancha’s inside and out to make cooking meals easy and adapt to the weather. The local town is close enough to get any necessities with the home secluded enough to allow for peaceful holiday if you so wish. Would love to return in the future.

Property and location were fantastic for our family. House interior was modern and had all facilities one could wish for. Swimming pool had a hard cover wish made it safe for the youngest when not used. Surroundings were very spacious with great views! We booked again for next year which says it all.
