Beautiful Historic Black Hills Home Very Close to Deadwood

Had a great stay in this wonderful home. Very historic and in superb condition, kitchen was well stocked with everything you need for preparing any meal. Loved the deck and view, would stay again for sure.

I thought it was a very nice house and well kept with everything you need for you stay. It’s a very beautiful historic home with a beautiful view. I recommend this place for anyone looking for a getaway!

Great property, great location, great host, great price. Clean, well appointed, and located near everything you'd ever want to visit while vacationing in The Black Hills. Host was very accommodating and responsive to emails. We would 100% book again.

Really wonderful property. We’ve stayed at a lot of properties, and this house was at the top in terms of cleanliness, well appointed (nice towels, comfy sheets, kitchen equipment, lots of smaller details, etc) and the host was hands down the most responsive host I’ve ever had. Great property, we had a family of 6 and we underutilized its occupancy, which comfortably accommodates 11 depending on the group/family makeup. and the kids thought it was the coolest ever - especially the rooftop deck. Recommend strongly!

This house exceeded our expectations. Our family vacations often include 7 people, some with medical needs, and it’s rare to find a home that fits us so well. This one did. The place is huge—photos don’t do it justice. It’s well-stocked with more than enough towels, blankets, pillows, and silverware. Two sets of washers and dryers made washing our stuff before departure easy. The AC and central heat handled both hot and chilly days perfectly.The beds are memory foam, furniture is comfy, internet is reliable, and TVs are in every room. It’s just 10 minutes from Deadwood and about an hour from Mt. Rushmore, Rapid City, and other attractions. (Watch for road construction—can add some time when driving so if you have scheduled excursions, plan accordingly.)Edward, the host, was incredibly responsive and helpful, even checking in before a cold snap to make sure we knew how to use the heat.A few notes: the staircases are steep with low ceilings—tough for those with mobility issues or over 6’ foot tall. The patio stairs are narrow and turn a corner. The patio is also very hot and sunny in the afternoon but cools off when the sun starts to set. The house is older so expect a few charming quirks, and there’s no yard—just a small grassy patch out front.But overall, this place is fantastic. The jetted tub was a hit, and the location, amenities, and owner support make it a standout stay. Highly recommend—just be prepared for stairs! 10 out of 10, would stay again for sure.

This house is clean, comfortable and relatively close to most things. Our family enjoyed the outside dining with the view of the hills and history. Ed made things so easy and was helpful our whole trip. If you’re coming to the area with a large group or even a few this home is perfect!

Great place, we always stay here when we are in the lead/deadwood area. Clean spacious house and reasonably priced.

This property is so easy to get to and in such great shape and provided everything that we needed.

It worked well for 6 guys on a motor trip, accommodations were as advertised.

This home is a great stay. The owner has left nothing undone; the kitchen is stocked with appliances and amenities. Its location is walking distance from downtown in a quiet neighborhood. There are two washing machines and two dryers , I’ve never seen that in a rental before ; it was handy! We used the grill on the top floor patio; it’s a great view of the mines! If you are a tv viewer there is one in every room. Our grandgirls loved all the indoor and outdoor space as did we! We would without a doubt rent again. Ed, is very attentive to every message I texted. We enjoyed our stay, a home away from home!

Outstanding.

We had a great stay. We were a party of 9 from 9 to 70 years old. The house was located perfect to take in everything. Our youngest party member ran around the house yelling we are rich when we first arrived, the kids were really taken with the place. We had a hard time getting any of the kids to help unload anything until they explored the whole house. It perfectly accommodated us all. We even asked for an extra day, but another group was already set to come in after us. Thank you again for letting us stay!
