Bear Trap Dunes townhouse w/ gym, basketball court, tennis court, shared sauna

The house was clean and as described. However, the rental agency was terrible. Unfortunately, one of my children left something behind. We realized this relatively quickly, but because VRBO and Vacasa are both such big companies we were unable to speak to anyone locally for days. That meant we would need to have the item mailed. We were even willing to make the 7 hour round trip to pick it up personally. The response from Vacasa was deplorable. Most communication was required through text. Some of those messages came through at 3am. They would not let us speak to anyone in Delaware and even after securing the item, they would not give us a pick up address. Ultimately a manager or some other employee sent an incredibly rude text message shaming us for leaving something behind and making sure we were well aware how inconvenient it was for them to put it in the mail. I will never rent a property overseen by Vacasa again.

We did not feel the property will well equipped. 1 roll of toilet paper in each bath for 8 people!!we ran out in 3 of the 3 bathrooms. Floors were not clean in bathroom on first floor. One tea towel! Banisters on front porch and railing covered with mildew. Entire house smelled musty and several of our family got sick. Management was contacted but did not come until next day and was not able to fix the problem!!

Conveniently location and price were the best things about this house. It was a bit sterile on the inside, but provided adequate comfort. More attention could be made toward the overall cleanliness of the building.

The location was perfect. The men were able to golf at Bear Trap Dunes. We went to Bethany Beach one day, ate at Vista rooftop restaurant in Ocean City and went to Octoberfest in Berlin, MD and still had time to get together with friends who live in Ocean View. The house was perfect.

We love the bear trap community and the amenities are wonderful. This past stay of our family vacation was horrible because of the company we rented through. The home was not clean, sand all over the floor, sheets were not on beds, dishwasher had dirty dishes, the grill did not have gas and then when we did call to notify them they showed up unannounced at 10:30 pm the night we just checked in. I already had told them I had two small children and asked if they would notify us prior to coming. They confirmed they would. No one called and then they assumed they were going to make our beds after we were already asleep. The A/c was not working as well. We ended up checking out early because we just kept finding more and more filth. We are disappointed and saddened by this because we had stayed at this location previously and it was clean and nice. Unfortunately we will not be returning. And not happy with the rental company because wells just refunded $167 for an entire week of stay.

This place was located in Bear Trap providing all of the amenities you could need to include a shuttle to the beach and a very nice pool. The house was well equipped with what you need for a week long vacation.

We have stayed at this property at least three times (maybe more). It is always clean with no wall-to-wall carpeting (which can get particularly gross at the beach) and has a terrific bedroom set up for our crew. The kids’ bedroom has four twins positioned around the perimeter of the room. One request is that the cleaning crew do a better job cleaning around and under those mattresses though. A lot of stuff collects there. Overall, GREAT place!!!
