Bear Trap Dunes dog-friendly house w/ shared sauna, tennis court, balcony

The location was great &?the neighborhood was lovely for walking & biking; however, the house was not clean when we arrived. Trash cans in the garage were overflowing & the counter surfaces/sinks needed to be wiped down. Carpets were in need of a vacuum. Additionally, there were insufficient place settings for the 9 guests we indicated when making the reservation. Also, the list of amenities is misleading in the property description as it appears that access is included in the price. Only after I made the reservation did we get an email that access was available for an additional cost.

The property is in a lovely, quiet neighborhood that was perfect for walking & biking and the size of the house certainly was suitable for the 9 members of our family. However, upon check-in, the house appeared not to have been prepared for us between renters, as the garage trash cans were overflowing, the bathroom counters/sinks required a wipe down, & the carpets appeared not to have been vacuumed. Additionally, there was insufficient place settings provided for the number of guests we indicated.As far as the web description of the house, the neighborhood & proximity to the beach were accurately conveyed; however, the pool & sauna amenities listed appear as if these are included in your stay which is misleading. It is only after I booked our reservation that I received a separate email conveying that membership passes must be purchased for an additional fee in order to have access these amenities.I would recommend the property if greater care was taken to clean the property & ensure that the house supplies could accommodate the number of guests.

We are able to take our dogs to this house, lots of places to walk. Shuttle to beach but also just a few minutes drive to the beach. The house is great for us, has all the amenities we needed.

There was nothing to love about this place it reeked of dog urine, the odor overtook the house and our lungs! The house needs a complete overhaul, the furniture was torn and very worn…Within minutes we knew there was no staying at this house. Vacasa was of no help in giving us a refund or helping us find another place to stay! Vacasa told us we didn’t give them a chance to remedy the problem, that would have required replacement of every inch of carpeting, all upholstered furniture and bedding. The dog pee smell was so strong , exposure to this to the odor could cause lung and eye irritations. Shame on Vacasa for representing this house…I will never use Vacasa again, they left us hanging and management was very rude and flippant about the condition of this property. Luckily, we were able to rented another home with Airbnb.

Bear Creek Dunes is our go to location at Bethany Beach. We love the neighborhood for our family. This house is big enough for our family, well designed for comfort for the length of stay.

Conveniently located. Great amenities. Accommodated 8 of us comfortably; however the second floor bedrooms and bath have an odd configuration. ( One bedroom lacks access to the bathroom without going through another bedroom.) We enjoyed the screen porch in the morning and the front porch in the evening.

As this is our second stay in this home, I have seen many changes and not for the better. I am grateful to have my dog stay with us but that doesn’t excuse the household items being run down or dirty. I had to clean out the silverware drawer and the pots and pans. The master suite had a huge stain on the carpet and the ceiling had a water stain. The living run furniture was quite broken in and not clean. It’s also time to replace the dining chairs that felt unsteady. This time there were no beach umbrellas or blow dryers. While the home is big and spacious located in a beautiful development with nice amenities, it’s a shame to let it get run down. By the way there is also a loose board on the front steps. This was not a cheap vacation rental.

The Neighborhood of Bear Trap Dunes is really scenic and beautiful. It's so quiet and feels like your in a movie as you walk around the neighborhood. The house was great, and we loved the outdoor screened in porch. Plenty of bedrooms and beds and bathrooms for everyone! Would recommend staying here for family vacations!

Very dirty house. Stained carpets, ceiling, dilapidated furniture. House was filthy when we arrived.
