Great stay!

Excellent view! Everything was clean! A couple of dead bugs. Pleasantly suprised to find beach chairs and fishing equipment on site

My wife and I have been vacationing at beaches from NC to Florida for the past 50 years. We've had some incredible views along the way. The view from this cottage ranks in the top 3. Absolutely gorgeous. We could see the ocean as from the master bedrooms and the living area. A big plus, the Gulf of America was 300 feet from our deck. We spent most of our time on the beach and on our deck. The times inside, we enjoyed comfortable furniture. The kitchen, all appliances, and cookware were more than adequate. Ok..nothing is perfect, a suggestion would be more pantry supplies, such as starter Keurig cups, and bathroom shower soaps. The price is high for the aging of the cottage, but the location and comfortable furniture and bedding are a certain plus...not to mention an incredible view. The neighborhood is very quiet and dark at night allowing you to reach up and touch the stars. Buck was an excellent host. We had only one concern during the week that was handled promptly. No cell service but internet, wifi is excellent. Fishing was poor but water was so beautiful we didn’t really watch our rods too closely. We reluctantly left, and are eager to return. FWIW, I seldom right such lengthy reviews but this cottage deserves accolades!

Well there is a lot to mention here. Was it beachfront, pet friendly, reasonable price? Yes, yes and yes. Is it an older house in a very harsh environment? It was clean and the appliances and bedding seem to have been updated. Paint is peeling off the wall and the decking is in bad shape. Our family enjoyed our time but do not expect luxurious.

Enjoyed our stay! Everything was as expected and the owner was great to work with! The weather cooperated and we had a great, relaxing week!

We loved the location and thought the property owner tried to be helpful but the property needs pest control - too many roaches and roach spray under the sink should have been a clue - the deck to the beach is dangerous - no guardrail and four foot drop on either side - the 5 TV’s did not work - the password was not working and ridiculous despite the owners advising we needed to be patient - should have been more simple. Could be a really great place but also the walls and ceiling were crumbling in areas and needed updates. Could be a really nice place - but needs more attention.

Great view! Easy beach access!

I could write pages but will keep it short-you don’t go to St. George Island for all the tourist type of things. You go to spend quality time with your family and friends. The house was exactly as listed, on the beach with its own boardwalk to the beach. Some people may want more than 2 full bathrooms-but it worked for us. We’re a family of 6 adults and 2 children. We’re already talking about reserving this same house next year!!! Thank you to the owner for sharing his piece of paradise on the beach with us!! 5 for me and mine!

Great house right on the beach! Fantastic property with comfy beds and couches, nice washer and dryer and huge TV. Buck is so easy to work with and has added touches to the property that made us feel welcomed and right at home— laundry detergent, dish detergent, nice chargers next to each bed, beach chairs, umbrellas etc. Would definitely rent here again!
