Beach Retreat - Dog Friendly-Beachfront-Beach Path

We were happy to find it has a firepit! There was lots of parking for all of our vehicles. The kitchen has almost everything we needed, including TWO refrigerators but needs a strainer (pasta) and scissors. Since it sleeps 10, we were a little surprised at the 8-piece dish set, but we had brought paper along just in case! Garbage wasn't picked up during our stay. We ran out of room in the trash storage closet with 10 of us staying there! Guests are asked to remove shoes at the doors and a shoe caddy near the doors for all the shoes would be helpful. It was nice to find plenty of towels, including beach towels! Previous guests had thrown beer cans, etc. under the deck and left dog droppings. Please be respectful of the guests who are coming in after your family leaves! The internet is slow, so if you plan to do some work while here, keep that in mind! In our case, it helped keep us all on beach time! The laundry pods are in an unmarked glass jar on the counter across from the washer ICYMI!! Evening strolls to the beach on the private path and watching the sunset from the little bench are fond memories, as well as playing games inside on one stormy evening. The table could use a fresh top coat/sealer. It is gummy, even after repeated wipe downs. The house was great. Large enough for everyone to have their own space. We really enjoyed our stay at Beach Retreat and would stay again!

We enjoyed our stay very much - plenty of room for everyone. Multi bathrooms a hit for sure with eight older adults. Improvement opportunities exist which may have to do with the end of summer. However, they exist - not enough soap in bathrooms. Kitchen not well organized nor cleaned well - finding the tools needed to cook was a true scavenger hunt. Good organization with a comprehensive list would do wonders for getting tools back where they belong. Having a washer and dryer was a blessing indeed - some leveling is needed for the dryer door to not swing closed while wet clothes are being moved from washer to dryer - about knocked myself out with that one. However, would return here to stay.

Beach Retreat is exceptionally clean and well appointed. The trail to the beach is like a walk through a magical forest to a lovely stretch of the coast. We saw bald eagles every time!

This house has plenty of room for our extended family of nine to spread out, and we've enjoyed staying here twice. The kitchen is well-stocked, and we've appreciated having two refrigerators. It's easy to walk to the beach on the private trail through the trees and dunes, and we all enjoyed playing in the water and sand. The house is in a quiet location, with an easy drive to several local towns with shopping and farmer's markets. Communication and check-in were good.

This was a great house with great beach access and a beautiful view from second story suite. There was plenty of room for everyone indoors and out.

Our family of six adults, two children, and one dog spent four nights at this home. We had not only all the bedrooms we needed, but the layout of the house was great for our children. Long Beach is a long time vacation spot for our family and we have visited numerous rental homes. This home after 20 years of vacations was the best. It was clean, the kitchen had everything we needed, the bathrooms and kitchen had excellent water pressure, the large deck allowed us a space to visit outside, the property was large for the children to ride bikes and the walk to the beach was lovely and not too long at all. The Wi-Fi was excellent and we had no connection issues. The beds were some of the best we have slept on and we had plenty of towels in the bathrooms. The washer dryer looked new and we used them during our stay. The bedroom upstairs had its own suite with bath and sitting area and it included its own veranda with a view. The only thing I’d mention is that there are many stairs to reach it and so we had to choose the more able-bodied of us to use that particular room. Everyone in our family expressed they want to return to this home in the future since it worked so well for all of us. Many thanks to the owners who clearly worked hard to create such a lovely environment!

House was perfect for a large group and beach was a short walk away. We were also pleasantly surprised by the property having 4 full bathrooms, made for an easier weekend with multiple families with kids. We had a great time and will definitely be back!

The house had many rooms for our family (3 generations) to enjoy without being crowded. It was comfortable and well-furnished. The trail to the beach is a well-maintained path through pretty trees. We enjoyed playing in the water and sand every day, and also walking on trails and the beach at Leadbetter Point State Park. The bunnies in the yard were a bonus.

The house was clean. It had everything you could want and need for a large group. The trail to the beach is beautiful. The beach is fantastic. We had a TV problem and someone came to fix within 15 min. Lots of bunnies and deer. Very peaceful spot. There is lots of room to spread out if you have

The listing online stated that this home was minutes from town within walking distance. Not even close. Was miles from town. We based our selection of this property due to the description that the home was within walking distance to town. In the welcome booklet it was also stated that somebody would be by to collect garbage periodically. Nobody came by at all to collect trash. 7 days of trash for 10 house guests equaled to alot of trash which we had to leave on the front porch. Upstairs bedroom smelled like animal urine. All bathrooms had mold in the corners of tile. Overall not happy with our experience.
