Almost 2 acres of the property is level and clear with lots a space for horseshoes, baggo, badminton or even a some tag football. Another acre slopes down to the bullfrog pond where you can practice your casting skills or just relax and listen to the birds and bullfrogs. Maybe you would prefer chillin' by the firepit or under one of the many shade trees.

Our bunkroom has two sets of bunkbeds with 4 full sized mattresses, television. The hallway door also benefits anyone snoozing on the sleeper sofa in the living area. So who’s Pearl
Pearl was a beloved icon of the Sweet Home community. She lived on the homestead just around the curve in the cabin that was built in 1907. No insulation except newspapers. She cooked on a wood stove every day and used an outhouse until they added on an indoor bathroom. She had a garden, chickens and milk cows so all the neighbors came to her for their eggs, produce, milk and butter.
When I was thinking about a name for the house, I made the comment that even though it was 1980’s retro, Pearl would have thought it was a palace. So we left the original decor and accessorized with the 80's in mind. Come relive childhood memories and share with your family days gone by. PS, have some fresh eggs on Pearl.

Property was wonderful and easy to get to. Pleanty of room and supplies provided. Communicated with owner a couple times priot to arrival and all was very smooth. My only suggestion would be to provide a television in the living room. Would have been nice to have everyone abke to sit and watch a little tv together.
The property was perfectly described. The house is really cool and we had a relaxing time. Can’t wait to stay there again next year!
Please note, my rating reflects things that affected us but would not be issues for other people. The house layout was exceptional! Open rooms, plenty of space and amenities. The yard area was as described. Very large with plenty of room to move about. Having a blind dog this was an asset as she could wander without running into things. We did not get to enjoy the pond. Unfortunately, we stayed during mosquito season (and high temperatures) and that limited evening outdoor time. Just a timing thing on our part. Having the street so close was an oversight on our part. It is busy with traffic all day and night. This was an adjustment. Overall the house was tidy. We did have issues in the kitchen with ants (again realize that is a seasonal issue) but the owner had put out baits. We had some clean up in the kitchen and bedrooms to remove dust, and debris. Again, allergy issues that affect us may not be an issue for others. I would highly recommend this place for people visiting the area! It was close to our favorite crystal mines. In town, Bob's food market even had some gluten free items to round out the food we brought with us. I really appreciated the kitchen as we ate all of our meals in. I would return to this location, just pick timing that would allow full enjoyment of all it has to offer.
Beautiful quiet location. The house was lovely, clean and perfect for family time! We really enjoyed our stay and will be back!
Great location to explore the lake.
We were VERY pleased with the layout, the amenities and the absolute cleanliness of the house. Very minor issue with shower was resolved without further distress. We enjoyed our stay!
It was all great.
We enjoyed our stay and couldn’t have asked for anything better! Also great location for crystal mining!
Pearl’s Palace was just as advertised. The decor helped to create another level of comfort and happiness. It was extremely clean and kept up. The owner was very responsive, welcoming and accommodated an extended stay. Everything was wonderful!
worth a repeat performance every yr
This was a sweet little home with a lot of charm. My father really enjoyed the farm fresh eggs. I enjoyed the beautiful scenery as I walked around the yard, cute little pond with beautiful plant life everywhere.
Great place to stay with all of the necessities and ample space.
Our group of 8 had an amazing vacation thanks to Pearl's. We were very happy upon arrival and enjoyed our stay. Definitely would love to do it all again some day, as we really did not even want to leave. Thank you for letting us stay there and keeping us in the know of things. Karen is great!
We really enjoyed our week at Pearl's Palace. It was great for my family of 10 (kids aged 2 through 18) and is relatively close to a lot of great activities. During the week, we spent time at Hot Springs, swam at Lake Ouachita State Park and Charlton Recreation Area, dug for quartz at Crystal Vista, and hiked amazing trails at Petit Jean State Park. There was plenty more that we didn't get around to doing, at least partly because our week ended up being incredibly hot and humid (95 degrees every day), so most days we came back to the house a little earlier than we'd planned on. The property was very clean and provided a great refuge at the end of the hot days. There's also a lot of outdoor space if you're there during a week where you can take advantage of it.
Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property. The house was exceptionally clean. We definitely plan to stay here again!
We stayed for the weekend for our annual family float trip (float didn't happen because of rain but nearby Lake Ouachita saved the day with the kiddos!) Adults all slept comfortably inside while the kids got to camp out in tents in the back yard. The frog pond was a main attraction for all the kids (ages 4-13) and they all caught and released several bream. Outdoor games were fun, too! Would definitely recommend to friends
Peal's Place was the perfect place for our trip to the Mt. Ida area to collect quartz crystals. We were out digging every day and came back tired and dirty. The utility room with washer and dry were well used for cleaning up. No dirty clothes beyond there and no rocks in the house at all. We only had three adults, but the house can easily accaomodate many more. The house was comfortable, clean and everything in working order. Communication with owner very good.
We enjoyed our stay at Pearls Palace. In a great location for exploring the woods and streams of the area.
