Beautiful place to get away and enjoy the peace and quite. The property is located just a short trail walk, or ride if you have a 4 wheel drive, down to the river.
The cedar cabin is spacious with all needed some amenities. It was very clean and comfortable. My only problem was assuming it had internet since it had direct TV also. The ad did not state it did have it and never mentioned not having it. Not that me and my husband needed it, but our teen grandsons were disappointed. Other than that, it is a terrific location and relaxing. Thanks for the stay.
what you should expect of a cabin in the woods but is sometimes hard to find..the cabin and property were clean and comfortable. enough off the beaten path to be a great quiet get-away.
Alan is a super host. He answered all of my questions and was helpful and considerate. This area has wonderful huge trees. The river is peaceful and beautiful. The setting is private, almost like it’s your own place. We truly enjoyed just spending time on the river and hanging out at the cabin. We did explore the immediate area a bit and found the main attraction to be the trees and the river which was fine with us. The one thing that would have made it perfect would be better beds. The beds were very noisy with the slightest movement which interfered with getting good sleep. It was hard for me to take even one star away though because everything else was so wonderful. If you are looking for a place to get in touch with nature—-this is it.
The cabin and the surrounding area were what we were hoping for. The river bank, only a short walk away, was quiet and amazing... as were the stars. The 20 minute drive is a challenge at first but driving it several times was no problem for the mini van. Cabin itself was perfect. Alan was super helpful and we will bring more family next time!
Wonderful … so refreshing to my soul
The pictures of this cabin do not do it justice. It was a lot bigger than we expected and the bedroom was separated from the living area, which made it a nice separation for our kids. We didn't get a chance to play in the river much during our stay due to heavy rainfall prior to our stay, however when we were able to get down to the river it was really awesome. It does take some time getting to and from town due to it being 7 miles off the main road, so make sure you stock up when you get to town. Being so far off the road was one of the things my family loved. We discovered something new every time we drove to and from the cabin. My husband and I are planning a weekend away again to dig in the dirt some more in Mt. Ida when the weather is cooler, and plan on staying here. Would highly recommend!
The cabin was perfect - simple but renovated, well stocked and clean. Good bathroom with a shower; kitchen will all required appliances and dishes, two decks and a grill. Laundry room in a separate building was great, since the kids got dirty playing in the river. Satellite TV was a huge benefit for the kids when it rained outside. The setting is serene with a beautiful and private access to the river. thank you!
Beutiful surrounding clean and peaceful ... A little difficult to find from hwy 27 and far from everything not A lot of restaurants or places for supplies so be sure to get your supplies while in hot springs but over all it was awesome if your looking for a get away.
The cabin was comfortable and in a beautiful location. The property owner is quick to reply to questions or concerns. I highly recommend!
