Located in the Sandhill Townhomes just off of 11th St. Dogs OK.

This very spacious pet friendly townhome was completely renovated in 2019 and recently redecorated. It has 3 bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms. Your can have your feet in the sand in 10 minutes or less with a quick walk or drive to the beach. The heated community pool BBQ area is nearby with bathroom facilities, several sun loungers with tables, chairs and BBQ grills for your enjoyment.
Living area: The living room has a large sectional couch and a few chairs to lounge around in while you watch the big screen TV with Smart TV apps installed. The couch has a sleeper sofa tucked away for extra guests. The covered deck is just off the living room and overlooks the pool area. There are several chairs and a table to relax in while you play cards or sip cocktails.
Bedrooms: There are 2 bedrooms on the ground level. The 1st bedroom has a Queen-sized bed. The 2nd bedroom has a double over double bunk bed. The large master bedroom is on the 2nd level and has a king size bed with ensuite bathroom. There is a dresser, flat panel Smart TV and a closet for storage in all of the bedrooms.
Bathrooms: The downstairs bathroom is accessible from the hallway and has a walk-in shower. The ensuite upstairs master bathroom has a large soaking tub and a walk-in shower with double sink vanity. There is an additional closet as well. There is a - bath powder room off of the kitchen. The laundry room is located on the ground floor.
Kitchen: This kitchen boasts all the creature comforts of home. You will be able to prepare many of your family meals here. This kitchen is fully stocked for your enjoyment. It even has a Keurig coffee pot to make a single K cup or a full pot of coffee. There is a breakfast bar and a table to seat 6.
Outdoors: The 2nd level covered balcony has lots of seating, a table and loungers to expand your living area. Have your meals out here or evening cocktails while enjoying the breeze. There is a BBQ grill for your use stored in the garage. The beautiful community pool is heated and just steps away. There is also a hot tub, community BBQ area with tables, fenced Dog park and dedicated Golf cart parking area.
Parking: the large garage can fit 1 vehicle There is space for 2 more vehicles in the driveway. There is limited overflow parking and a dedicated golf cart parking area.
Directions: This townhome is located in the Sandhill Townhomes just off of 11th Street near Sandcastle Drive. Sandcastle Drive will be your closest beach access rd. The Bier Haus restaurant and the Port A Beach Lodge are a quick walk or drive away.

**When booking please let us know if you are bringing dogs so that we may adjust your balance** $100 per dog, 2 dogs max. We accept all size dogs.

This is a self catering property. We give you a start up supply of trash bags, toilet paper, dish soap and hand soap. This will most likely not be enough for your entire stay.
Even though the system may let you book this property, all reservations must and will be submitted to the owner of the property for final approval.Names and ages will be required for all reservations. Also, on the day of check in, only the named person on the reservation will be permitted to check in at our office. ID and Credit Card will be verified upon check in. NO Exceptions.

Must be 25 to reserve/stay. NO 3rd party rentals. Primary guests must be present for full stay. Only named guests permitted on property. No Parties.
As a reminder if your reservation falls between the dates of March 6-23rd if any guests are under the age of 25.
The reservation will be subject to extra scrutiny, and we reserve the right to cancel due to the age group of guests.

We do not allow parties or large groups. We aim to remain family friendly.

    The location was very convenient, with easy access to the pool and a well-stocked kitchen which made meals simple to manage. Unfortunately, the hygiene and cleanliness aspects were a complete disappointment, which is especially concerning when traveling with a toddler.On arrival, we found a used tampon near our bedroom nightstand, dead roaches and sand throughout the floor and in the master bath spa tub, and even live roaches in the kitchen. The mattresses were also mediocre and not very comfortable.While the property has potential due to its location and amenities, the lack of cleanliness made it difficult to enjoy our stay.

    First time to Port A and family had a great time. This townhome was great and had everything we needed; well appointed kitchen as we cooked most of our meals. It was next to the pool which was a plus. We rented a golf cart which made trips to the beach convenient. Would definitely go here again.

    Location: where we thought it might be and walking distance to beach was accurate. Condo: smelled like sewer when we first entered, just in the entry way. Water pressure for showers was very low. Washer/Dryer & Dishwasher needs to be updated, very dirty. Master bathroom roof leak. Condo is located next to the small pool, so be prepared for noise. Master bedroom bed, needs to be replaced. Reason it’s been very used, you sink right into the mattress. We are picky when it comes to paying and staying at Vrbo condos bc of the fees you have to pay for a stay are ridiculous. So to get your monies worth you want a place to stay where you get a great experience. This was not it for us unfortunately. It’s not terrible but it could be better.

    If you enjoy a place close to town and the action, Carl’s Isle is the place for you. Nice dog friendly place with convenient doggie bags and containers in the dog walking areas for disposing of dog waste. We usually spend the day under a canopy on the beach and it’s a bit of a drive past wooden posts that designate a car free zone before you can drive closer to the water to set up the canopy. Then if you want to drive back to the condo or town for lunch, your spot will be gone so pack a lunch if you plan to stay all day. This is a very crowded part of Mustang island, so finding a good spot on the weekend takes a little patience. In the past, we have stayed more in the center of Mustang Island where it’s not so crowded so this was a bit of a surprise. However, the beach at Port A is very clean with numerous trash containers and porta potties. Carl’s Isle is a corner unit with a large deck for relaxing or eating a meal, so you get the ocean breezes even though you can’t see the sea. It is only a short walk though. The kitchen has no mixing bowls nor strainer for pasta water that we could find, but it’s easy to make do and the kitchen is otherwise well equipped. Nice stove and microwave plus good coffee maker. The frig has no ice maker nor ice trays, so pick up a big bag of ice on the way there. Through our own fault we could not find some things in the kitchen like dish towels and pot holders and management immediately sent a woman from the cleaning staff over. We appreciated her friendliness and good humor as she showed us where the items actually were. The doors to the outside are pretty difficult to open both leading into the house and out to to the deck upstairs. However every home has its quirks, even my own. All in all, you’ll find Carl’s Isle both spacious and clean. We enjoyed our stay.
