Ark & Creation Retreat – For 12!

Nice quiet neighborhood and the property was awesome.

Plenty of room for our family of ten! Clean, well stocked. Would stay here again!

Very nice place for a larger group. Great home layout, enough bathrooms to get 12 people ready, spacious and a huge dining room table for 12. Parking for 3 cars.

This rental was excellent would definitely use again and refer to our friends and family! Rental was close to a lot of things. Neighborhood was very quiet and very nice. Our host was great! He responded timely and answered any questions we had.

Check In: 4pm is absolutely ridiculous, should be sooner. Door code did not work that was supplied, called the # on the email, and after 6 new codes given, we had to get into the emergency lockbox to get in by key.Sparsely equipped: Bare minimum furniture, bare minimum kitchen equipment (makes for difficulty when cooking for a large group).Not enough towels for 10 people, I text the # given for property manager, and towels were delivered very soon. Day 2 one of the toilets down stairs became clogged and plunging did not work. We had a handicap person staying with our group and they could not climb stairs for another restroom. Text the property mgr. and it took till 9:30pm before a plumber could get out to repair.This property is a solid 3 on the scale. This should not be taken as a negative review, just honest.

The house looked just like the pictures...it was spacious and nicely furnished. While the hot tub didn't have anything floating in it, did have lots of dirt on the bottom so we chose not to use it. The yard was nice size for the kids and there was a park just down the road where the kids could get some energy out....that was nice!When we arrived it was very late at night and the door code wouldn't work. So in the dark and rain we had to call the 800 number to get another code. I was given a couple codes before one finally worked.The internet/TV did not work the next morning. Again, after contacting the house manager it took very long to get it all fixed. We went back and forth through the VRBO messaging system. And I felt like every response was AI written....not really solving any problems. Finally we were asked to go to the basement and check the router. The basement, however, was locked. So we had to wait for the code to get into the basement only find out that there was no power even going to the router! After my husband fixed it all there were no more issues.Finally, we used the kitchen a lot and there were plenty of plates, bowls and cups. However, there were only a handful of each kind of silverware. So I had to wash those every day.The house was convenient for us to get to the Ark Encounter, the Creation Museum and get in and out of Cincinnati easily. That was nice!

Overall a great, clean place to stay. We were very happy. Just could have used a couple more dish towels in the kitchen, and extra blankets.

Perfect location to visit the creation museum and the ark! We enjoyed our stay.

The house had plenty of room for our party of 11. The kids had space to play while the adults had their space. And we loved the hot tub! It was also a nice to be right in between the Ark and the creation museums. The front door and front porch area needs sprayed down. Lots of spiders, webs, and dirt. But inside was very clean.

Location was great and convenient. The host did allow us to check in 30 minutes early which was nice. We did have major issues come up fairly quickly. First thing was that the house listed 3 bedrooms with king beds, this was not true. There was only 1 bedroom with a king bed. Multiple items were broken when we arrived including the towel rack in the master bathroom and the refrigerator. The towel rack wasnt an issue for us, however the refrigerator was a major issue. We contacted the host and they recommended we keep the fridge closed and they would send someone out. The temperature was already over 50 degrees. We ended up placing ice in the refrigerator in order to cool it some while we waited for the maintenance person. It was over 5 1/2 hours later before someone finally showed up, this was after 10 at night. He attempted to fix the refrigerator, and left a little after 11. The next morning the refrigerator wasnt working again. The temperature wasnt able to maintain where it was set. I contacted the host again right away in the morning. They told me they wouldnt be able to send out a maintenance person until the following day between 10-11. They didnt show up until 1. Putting us without refrigeration for over 36 hours. They offered coolers and ice, however only dropped off ice, no coolers. Had to report this, they finally delivered coolers 4 hours after they initally dropped off ice. Overall extremely frustrating. Management said they be in contact, however have not.

Very nice place, large bedrooms and shared areas.

Had everything you need except it could really use bedside lamps. It’s in a busy neighborhood but really quiet. We had 8 people with plenty of room.

We really enjoyed this newer rental. The house is large, and remodeled nicely!Plenty of room and seating areas for our whole family.Some things that would've been *nicer*- bath towels were hard, scratchy, and not the cleanest feeling-onky glassware, no plastic for the kids-no kitchen scissors, which, if you don't have scissors, you discover how often you need them-hot tub had some sandy dirt from the area around it, putting down something to cover the dirt would be helpful to keep the hottub cleaner-no book with instructions inside the house, there were several differing instructions sent through VRBO and other sources- no towel hooks, NEED towel hooks - garbage instructions said garbage is pickedup Tuesday, it's actually Wednesday I'm sure these kinks can be worked out, then it'll be a 5 star place!

The check in process was great. Our door code didn't work but one phone call and the problem was corrected. There were some consumables provided by the VRBO, but things like dishwasher detergent and Kleenex were not. The consumables provided were enough to get us started, but we did purchase additional. The kitchen had a fair amount of cooking utensils and pans. There were no plastic dishes, and we had a 2 year old with us, so we did end up purchasing some toddler safe dishes. There were some discrepancies with what we were told. Our check in email told us garbage was collected on Tuesday, but it was not taken until Wednesday morning. The check out instructions were different in the email I received versus the text message.The area that this house was in is residential and very clean and quiet with a small playground about one block away.Overall, we would absolutely stay here again and it worked out great for our family of 12!

Overall this was a great place to stay. My group and I booked this property as we planned a visit to the Ark Encounter and the creation museum. The location was fantastic as it was right in between the two major activities we planned with an estimated 25 minute drive to both. It was also around a 30 minute drive from the CVG airport which was also a plus. The property was extremely spacious since we were a group of 9. It had a great layout and thoughtful design and had just the right amount of accents to make the place feel cozy. We especially loved the dining room and all the common spaces and at the same time we enjoyed having our own spaces to go to once the activities of the days were over. The house was clean and well maintained. We loved the abundant supply of towels and the rooms themselves were large. The beds and couches were also comfortable which made for good rest and each room had a good supply of pillows.The check-in process was not as seamless as I expected. We arrived at 7:45am a day later and I was not made aware that the access code would expire. The main property management contact number on the door was no help and when I called directly the agents were not able to help as well. I called VRBO and their agent was able to help me. The cleaning fee seemed a bit high since we were instructed to start a load in the wash for the towels and do all the dishes. There was a dish washer but no dish washing pods. Other than that, the kitchen could use more items.

House was located within a half hour drive to the Ark Encounter. It was very spacious and had plenty of seating for our group. It had plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms to accommodate our group.

We enjoyed our time in Kentucky/Ohio. The house was clean, matched the pictures, and was very spacious. We enjoyed the large dinning room table for meals and games. The smaller table in the kitchen was also convenient. Sometimes when we stay places, even though they sleep lots of people, there isn’t enough seating at the table or on the couches and dishes run out quickly. That was not the case here, there was extra space everywhere and plenty of everything. We also really appreciated the hosts, Grand Welcome. They communicated clearly and were available immediately every time we needed anything or had questions. They were very accommodating and we were so thankful we booked with them.

We stayed here with our large extended family (adults, teens, tweens, and an infant) while visiting family in Cinci and the Ark Encounter. The property was immaculately clean and easily accommodated us all. Loved the loft area (allowed for multiple groups to be playing games / watching movies) and the huge table in the dining room, which served our large family well. The only knock was that we came across multiple maintenance items (filters needed replacing in the fridge, dishwasher wasn't mounted, faucet loose, etc.). The company was AMAZINGLY fast at responding to my communications about the issues and even got a team out the next day to tackle some of these. I'd recommend proactively checking their properties for these types of issues. Given how well they responded to my concerns when in there, I believe they will likely do so. Overall, excellent experience and I'd recommend it to anyone!
