Gorgeous Isle of Palms Beach House with Wonderful Ocean Views on Quiet, Safe Street Leading to Beach with Heatable Pool & Jacuzzi!

This open, sunny 6-bedroom beach house is perfect for families as it is located on one of the very sought after quiet, charming side streets right off the sand dunes, away from traffic and the more crowded beach areas on the island. With 7 porches, lovely ocean views and a very short (less than 2 minutes!) walk to the beach -- this is Island Living atits best. This beautiful home also boasts an elevated , heatable pool with jacuzzi off first floor deck.

The house has two main bedroom suites, with full bath, ideal for two families and an additional four bedrooms for other guests. All six bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms.

1st Floor: On this entry level floor you will find the secondary living room area designed for kids to have a separate play area for board games and watching TV, allowing parents to sometimes enjoy a more relaxing main living room upstairs and adult conversation. There are three bedrooms on this floor, all with bathrooms en-suite. The master bedroom on this floor has a king-sized bed, sitting area and has a nice bathroom with large walk-in tiled shower (no bath tub). It has double glass door access to a peaceful side porch, which runs the length of the house along the pool. On this same floor there are two additional bedrooms - one has a queen-size bed and faces down the street to the ocean on the front of house. The other bedroom is tucked away at the back of this first floor level and has two twin-size beds (which we can have pulled together to form a King.) These two additional bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms with shower/tubs. There is a back porch on this level as well for quiet reading and relaxation, or exercise (with a bench press and two sets of hand weights - nothing very serious, but fun).

It is off the first floor of the house that you can access the new pool and jacuzzi area. The pool, which runs the length of the beach house on the beachside of the property is not your ordinary pool - we are fondly calling it our Palms Porch lagoonor water feature - as it's over 50 feet long but gets as narrows as 4 and 1/2 feet in some places! We love it as it meanders along the side of our house and is so fun and relaxing to swim in! Depending on the month - and with enough advance notice - the pool can be heated for an additional daily fee. (Please let us know before you finalize your booking if this option is of interest and we will quote the daily cost of heating depending on rental month).

2nd Floor: The second level is the main living area of the beach house and is designed with vaulted ceilings and a large great living room that opens onto the dining room and open kitchen. Here you can enjoy two gorgeous porches. One porch over front entrance to house - faces down our street to ocean with great breezes, the other large porch off dining room has comfortable rocking chairs, and is a great space to unwind while grilling outdoors. A third porch set behind kitchen has a ping pong table for everyone to enjoy. There is a staircase that connects the second floor main living area to first floor pool porch area. This main second floor level is flooded with light and is a marvelous place to relax with your friends and family. Also on this floor you will enjoy a flat screen TV and a large sectional sofa just off the dining room area. This floor also has a covered porch that has ocean views as it faces right down our street facing beach.

The kitchen has plenty of counter space with bar stools for friends to gather round and talk while you prepare your meals for grilling on the outside porch grill.

Behind the open kitchen/dining room area are two additional bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms. One features a king-size bed and ensuite bathroom. The other bedroom has a queen bed, ensuite bathroom and access to the front porch of the house. It is off this second floor bedroom that you will find the laundry room with washer and dryer, tucked away behind the elevator, which is facing the kitchen. The laundry room is only accessible through this back bedroom. The elevator, which is designed primarily for luggage and groceries, is very small and will not accommodate a wheel chair, or more than one person. It must be used with caution as it may break if misused. The elevator only goes to second floor (kitchen area), not to Master Suite on third floor.

3rd Floor: This floor consists entirely of one large, sunny master bedroom, which includes a king bed, sitting alcove with desk, master bath and walk-in shower, walk-in closet, and access to a small porch (no more than four people allowed) with spectacular views of the ocean and beach that stretch for miles in front of the house. This master bedroom also includes a small flat screen TV.

Our street is very quiet with little traffic as it is on a side street facing ocean, which few cars venture down unless they are residents. There is an outside shower for your convenience under the pool deck at front of the house, so that renters can shower after returning from the beach to remove sand on their feet before swimming in the pool or entering the house.

This home also comes with high speed internet (Internet services are not guaranteed to work with your equipment and we cannot provide support for guest's personal computer systems).

The house if very near the Isle of Palms Marina, where there are water sports available and you can take boat rides to the barrier islands, etc. They also rent pontoon boats for up to 10 people (negotiable) to take out by yourself - great fun way to spend an afternoon with family visiting Capers Island. We also highly recommend a morning of paddle boarding from the Marina. You can rent the boards and take off as a group or on your own and explore the creeks and waterways off the Island. It's a very peaceful and fun activity - as long as its not too hot or windy! Also, the famous Wild Dunes golf resort is three short blocks from our home, where non-members can -- for a fee -- rent bikes and use their restaurant, tennis and golf facilities. We also highly recommend hiring the local Isle of Palms Beach Chair Company to have umbrellas and chairs delivered to the beach every day for your group during your stay (843) 670- 1009. We do have some older beach chairs for your use but having the heavier grade chairs and umbrellas delivered and set up every day from 9am to 6pm is so convenient and well worth the money!

MUST BE 30 years of age or older to rent this home! No children under 5 years of age allowed due to pool security concerns.

As a note of caution we would like to remind you that this home is located in a residential area, and the community is very sensitive to inappropriate noise levels emanating from rental homes particularly in the evening hours. Therefore, we cannot allow parties, and we must prohibit large gatherings after 10pm. The noise ordinance is strictly enforced by the Isle of Palms police. Violations of the noise ordinance could result in fines and/or eviction. There are notices in our house which clearly outline the noise ordinance laws. Please take the time to read them.

Renters can only park in our gravel driveway, which has room for 4 cars. Cars on grass will be ticketed without resident permits. Cars with wheels touching pavement automatically get ticketed whether you are a resident or not!

*No rent will be refunded 90 days prior to arrival, unless an alternative renter has been found and has agreed to the same original rental fee for that week.

*Four night minimum rentals required for off season weeks.
*Only accept 7 night rentals for peak weeks June through August.

    A fantastic house with room for our large family (7 adults, 4 babies) to spread out! Location to the beach with 4 kids under 4 (including a newborn) was key, and the pool was an afternoon bonus for all. Maggie the owner was so accommodating, kind & accessible. We’ve already reserved our week for next summer!!A couple of considerations : the downstairs is so well-appointed, like its own apartment… would be great to add a full-size stackable washer/dryer to the closet down there. Having the sole laundry room off of an upstairs bedroom was a little difficult. Our daughter was sleeping in there & with all the laundry bring done, it was an imposition having to enter through her room. Also the upstairs deck is amazing & large (with 7 great wicker rockers!), but there were no side/drink tables and the small wicker coffee table didn’t have glass, so we had to put our drinks on the deck floor. Again, just suggestions! We had a fabulous time & made the best memories!!!

    Palms Porch is a terrific home for a large group. It's situated on a quiet street and super close to the beach. The house was very well maintained, had plenty of room and it was exactly as presented. We can't say enough about the poolside lounging. Great shade, ceiling fans, and comfortable chairs made hanging outside a no-brainer. The owner was incredibly responsive. We have been going to IOP each summer for years, and this has been one of our favorite houses.

    First- the worst of the stay - having to leave this beautiful home at the end of our week’s rental!!! Now to the best: Location- perfect- a mere two minute walk to a wonderfully, inviting, uncrowded beach. Quick drive to a major grocery store and a short and easy ride to Charleston (30 minutes or so) Space- the design of this home affords everyone can sit around and enjoy one another’s company while there is also plenty of space to take some quiet time. Pool- uniquely shaped and perfect for a leisurely swim or hanging with friends and family. The covered deck, equipped with ceiling fans, is ideal for those who want to be poolside and not baking in the sun. Amenities- stocked kitchenware, plenty of paper goods (toilet paper, paper towels) for a week’s stay, two donut rafts and now our donated lounge float, plenty of pool towels, hair dryers, and a wonderful outside grill. Beds- comfortable mattresses A big asset- this home’s wonderful hostess, Maggie. Texts were answered within two minutes before, during, and even after our stay. Her recommendations for restaurants and for a scheduled driver for airport transportation were spot on. Maggie and Michael’s hospitality and willingness to share their beautiful beach house is much appreciated. It is obvious that this home is very well taken care of & loved by the owners. Highly recommend this home and can easily see becoming repeat guests! Thanks, Maggie and Michael for a great rental experience!

    This home is absolutely perfect for a large group. Plenty of space, lots of different porches, balconies, and nooks to enjoy. The decor is beautiful. It’s a fun, peaceful place to enjoy everything about the area. Terrific pool with spacious deck area. We’ll be back!

    We had a wonderful stay at Palms Porch, plenty of space for 10 adults, each bedroom with its own bath, nice hot tub and pool, great access to the beach. We went into Charleston about every day as well which was an easy drive. Highly recommend this house and would definitely stay again.

    We have been renting beach houses every summer for the last 8 years. Never repeated a house, always a different one every year. This house was the best one we’ve ever stayed in by a long shot! Location is perfect to get anywhere in and around IOP and you can’t beat the 2 min walk to the beach. The new pool and jacuzzi was the icing on the cake. The house itself is extremely well kept and equipped with everything we needed and then some! Maggie was a pleasure and so attentive. For the first time we are talking about staying there again. Thank you so much Maggie we had an amazing beach week with the family!

    The home looked fabulous online, but the pictures don’t do it justice. Incredibly spacious, well maintained and well stocked with the amenities for a great vacation. Maggie was a spectacular host in ensuring that we had everything we needed and very responsive to anything we ran into. The only bad part of our vacation was leaving. But we would definitely come back to this property.
